Checked my email today to see that I was reported for abusive language multiple times against… someone or something? Squelched for a week and as far as I know, it’s my first offense for something like this. I don’t use the bnet client to talk to people often and more recently just asking a friend questions about Dragonflight. Made a ticket, but something seems off about it.
Wait on the apeal thats all u can do its averaging 2 days or less depending on issue.

Yeah that’s fine since I use Discord mostly. Just really out of nowhere and confused what would have even set it off.
This can be from weeks or months ago and isnt usualy related to bnet chat tho i could be wrong ive never heard of being squelched for bnet chat using ingame infractions like bg and raid.

That’s what I’m sayin’. I can talk fine in both versions of WoW right now. It’s just exclusively the client and I haven’t added anyone within the past like year and had a falling out with someone recently, but nothing I said to them would be considered abusive enough to be getting a week ban off the bat. Who knows.
Are u sure it was a legit blizzard email have u tried talking to ur bnet friends.

100% it’s legit and I can’t message people on the client. I have the “wasn’t delivered because you are squelched. (44)” message to anyone on my friends list.

I just want to touch on this no one like swearing profanity filter doesnt excuse using masked profanity. The nex penalty will be doubled if upheld.

I sent an appeal in just a couple of hours ago for exactly the same thing. I almost never use the bnet client chat. I am in-fact squelched; I tried to message a friend and it wouldn’t let me. The email says too specifically it’s for just the bnet client; no game is mentioned.
Hey there - I received the same battle.net client squelch which doesn’t apply to any games.
Was your appeal upheld and the squelch removed? Very confused as well lmao as I only talk to IRL friends over battle.net chat.
I ain’t tryna bring the thread back or anything, but it was a good ol’ oopsie haha and was removed after a nap. There wasn’t any explanation past that. GL homie

Had this same problem the other day. Put in an appeal, and got a response that it was a mistake and the squelch was removed.
