BNET Balance for Wow Token

Please let us exchange wow tokens for balance. I would like to use it to buy diablo 4 cosmetic shop stuff.

Edit - The token has already been added in game, it’s not being removed. The botters and gold sellers are not going away, especially not with the price of the wow token sitting at 6k gold. Enabling battle net balance would increase the gold that tokens sell for, allowing blizzard to actually compete with the bad actors.

No no no no no no no no no no.

It’s scope should be Classic if it’s not removed next week. It never should have been done in the first place.

Out of the goodness of my heart i hope this doesnt happen for your sake, Diablo 4 is trash.

NO.

And that should not even be possible in Retail because it escalates botting.

They’re keeping that for cata as a way to show how they can ramp up monetization of Classic.

This is why you cant get bnet balance, they need their sheep to spend real money, not wow gold.

I mean, someone has to use their real money to buy the wow token, so they are still getting their cheese.

But they could get more cheese

They can get more cheese by adding bnet balance. Allows them to compete with the illicit gold sellers more effectively. 6k gold for $20 is laughable.

Someone is paying for it somewhere if it’s that low. People should consider that not all servers have the same amount of liquidity as mega servers. Arguably, they should have made tokens server specific because of how wild the difference is between servers.

Yea, but 100k Classic WoW players buying 70 dollar game is more. Have you been under a rock the last decade? This is Blizzard.

This post is a perfect example of why the token is awful. Gold should never have any value in the real world, money corrupts everything. This is a video game ffs

100k classic wow players buying a $20 token which are redeemable for $15 means they make 33% more money on the game sales.

But instead, hear me out, they could buy a 80 dollar game.

Gold rains on retail players. All you have to do is stand there with a bucket in your hands. That’s why you get over 200k gold for $20. As easy as it is to get gold in classic you have to work a bit for it. Allowing classic players to sell gold for Bnet balance would entice some players to put in the work to get enough gold to sell. I’m neither for or against any of this but the reality is the classic token won’t succeed unless you incentivize players to earn more gold. Otherwise most people will just keep buying gold from the third party sellers. A month of play time isn’t a sufficient incentive.

You don’t get it.

They would be buying the game. Just they would make 33% more money if tokens are used to buy it.

Ultimate Edition costs $100.
Ultimate edition bought with tokens costs $135

$35 more for the same product is a win for blizzard.

Its scope is already not classic, you can use retail gold to buy classic gold now with no third parties.

Listen, they can buy both

They won’t though.

Not many reasons to buy tokens when they are worth nothing.

Apparently people are buying tokens left and right for free game time which means people are selling tokens. Blizzard isn’t going to let Classic Andy’s who have been GDKPing and RMTing to get Diablo 4 for free. That goes against their venture capitalist mindset of milking us like cattle.
