I have trouble with Demon Hunters. How do I counter them.
I’m very new to rated pvp. Basically I’m a noob. I’m still learning the art of trading cds and when to pop what vs the different specs. DHs consistently give me trouble. I find them hard to kite. How can I improve against them?
I could be wrong, but I think dh’s main weakness is roots. They also only seem to do big damage during and shortly after eye beam, so try to use tar trap when they cast eye beam.

Pretty much what you said. When they eye beam CC them. That’s their go windows. During their 2 minute meta you could probably get away with turtling since that’s their biggest damage window when paired with essence break.

Press scatter on eye beam. Root off cd with tar trap. Use your stun during meta windows. Keep walking them away from their healer and doing damage.
It’s not even necessarily about kiting them, so much as moving them far enough away from their healer that the healer needs to leave the pillar to heal the dh so you can easily cc the healer.
Also make sure you’re playing diamond ice so the traps cant be reversed.

Basically this, and I’m only 2k on this alt, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but as said, even though you most likely won’t be able to get away from a DH if he really wants to go you, you can disrupt them and kite them away from their healer, which eventually should force them to run away at some point (or the healer has to run in mid and eat a bunch of cc).
Stopping their beams is a big one, but other than that it’s basically just keep moving from pillar to pillar trying to get their healer in a bad spot where you can land a trap/kick/chimera silence/etc without over extending yourself. I’d look for landing traps off your partner’s cc or intimidating stuns though, since you’ll prob want to save scatter/binding shots for the DH, as landing intimidation stuns against them is unreliable at best
