Just curious why BM hunters make up half the BGS now ? Is it the trend of the month to make a BM hunter?? Whats next or where can i find out whats trendy?

BM Hunters are pretty strong atm so yes, people are fotm rerolling.
My friend who normally mains warrior changed to hunter for the exact reason that they are really strong. Hes currently at 2000cr in 2s with his
It is just the huge damage and safety of being range but never needing to stand still. I stopped playing MM when their damage fell off but haven’t started a new spec to reroll to. I don’t find BM fun so I haven’t played it lately, even though it is super powerful.

Actually BM is terrible for BGs outside of defending a base. Pets die so fast in team fights. The ONLY reason so many BM are in BGs right now is because MM has been temporarily destroyed.
They announced last week that they would nerf MM’s Black Arrow by 10% with the weekly reset, and accidentally hotfixed it down 10% on that same day. Then also nerfed it 10% AGAIN on the tuesday reset lmao.
Then at the same time they accidentally removed all PvP modifiers from aimed shot, rapid fire, arcane shot.
End result? Wailing arrow went from 1.7 mil crits to 700k crits. Rapid fire bullets fell from 260k to 180k. Black arrow is now 10% below what they were meant to do.
And the nail in the coffin? The first node of Dark Ranger talents was 20% more rapid fire / aimed shot damage. That got removed in the 11.0.5 rework for dark ranger.
So now marksman hits like a wet noodle… and everyone has to play BM until blizzard start fixing this mess.

Same, BM has never appealed to me. I played Survival a bit in Wrath but mostly stayed MM since BC on my hunter. Never got on board with the idea of having my pet do all the work lol.

Kind of new to rated, but do you have to rebuild your rating on BM to get seasonal progression after doing only another spec?
Man some specs are dying to get 900k crits sometimes and MM hunters instantly rerolled when they dont see 1m+ crits?

Because its what the spec does they dont do anything else. It’d be like a warlock having all their chaos bolt damage taken away. Theyd reroll so fast your head would spin (this is not a dig at you for posting from a lowbie lock, that is just a coincidence) Destro locks are known for 1 thing, and thats big af chaos bolts. Similar applies here
And those specs dying to get 900k crits, do they also only get 2 charges on the ability and require a long cast time?
You can’t just simply compare specs like that as each spec plays completely differently.
Did some bgs in the 70s bracket and I think one game it was 6 on one side and 5 on the other lol. It’s kind of sad how a good chunk of pvpers really enjoy having it as easy as possible

MM is just there for beginners to jump into PVP and not get stomped instantly my 7 year old plays BG’s on controller sometimes as MM and does pretty alright
