Way to go blizz. BM wasn’t even a problem in PvP compared with other specs. cough feral.
The nerfs to ST damage in addition to defensive really sealed the deal.

The thing is, it wasn’t that good. It’s just mobile, the damage itself was pretty boring. No burst, just decent sustain.

Compared to feral, Frost mage, UHDK, Aff Lock and Sub Rogue? Yea BM Hunter wasn’t the problem lol.
I agree, BM could not be considered the same tier as those other specs. That fact that the damage was nerfed to this extent was unjustifiable. As far as the defensives though, they were needed.
It was played in awc to counter warlocks, thats the reason

I’m telling you that big dam is no longer a thing. Losing 30% pet damage from Basilisk Collar nerf was probably the single biggest nerf any class has taken so far this expac.

If you want perma big damn, unkillable and mobility go frost mage.

It was +30% buff to +12% buff (in most situations) with compensatory kc and pet damage buffs. It’s like a 5% st nerf only. Thats way less than what DKs just got.

BM should be doing the same DPS almost with 4 peice just more squishy cuz loss of versa
This 5% ST damage nerf is not the same in PvP, the big damage was only viable with Kill Commands hitting a target with DoTs. You lose the scaling aspect of Basilisk Collar and when targets have Vers this hurts even harder. My Kill Commands before were critting cloth for about 350k-400k. They are now hitting for about 150-200k with the same exact gear.
My Black Arrow dot hits harder than my Kill Command now lmao.
The blanket buff to Kill Command damage does absolutely nothing when you aura nerf a classes total damage by 30%.

These are all %age changes, so it should be exactly the same.
Ya, some things hit harder and other things hit proportionally less hard. It is a 5% nerf overall. The spec needed and got a nerf!

Explain to me the damage differential on multiple duels to test this damage nerf out. I’ve done about 30 duels and 15 2s matches and like I said with the exact same build using Basilisk Collar my Kill Commands are now hitting from 150k-200k crits. Using the exact same rotation, buffs and setup.

If it is nerfed its going to be better than it was on anniversary patch based on my testing a week ago. Assuming no changes. I am hearing mixed things though so not sure if its nerfed right now.
Kill Command was stealth nerfed in pvp by 20%, it just didn’t make the notes.
BM single target damage was hit even harder than the pve sims are showing.
Oh well.
