Why Blizzard is nerfing BMs when it is one of the worse specs in the game? BM leggos getting a nerf and mages getting a buff? I don’t think I can stand it anymore, maybe it is just time to move on.
Why did you nerf Rylak’s if it was performing worse than ember IN SINGLE TARGET? Why? Seriously why did you nerf anything BM related, really, the spec is nearly 40% below the “meta” classes.
At this point, it is very clear that we’re dealing with something worse than incompetence. The ones responsible for class balance hate BMs, that is obvious at this point.
So I guess we that love the BM spec should just leave and answer with our money.
It isn’t a nerf, they buffed them in the original 9.0.5 post then are coming back down a little. It is still a large buff to that ability but unfortunately a small mostly useless buff to BM.
You don’t get it, even with 40% (while bestial is up, good to remember), Rylak’s was still performing worse than ember for single target. And ember is clearly AoE oriented. There are no reason to decrease Rylaks to 35%. At all.
So yes, it is a nerf, an unnecessary and ridiculous nerf in a spec that is underperforming 30% of the meta raw.
Meanwhile mages getting a buff.
I mean, I must be very biased because IMO it is more than absurd. But hey maybe I’m wrong.
The only noise “Blizzard” (Activision) cares is the one the businessman do when they ask why the subs count is decreasing. That is the only thing we can do at this point.
if you guys haven’t noticed the devs do everything backwards “buff the strongest classes in the game and nerf the weakest” its like opposite day every day at blizzard
It not a nerf because it’s not live. It still 20%. Anything over 20% is a buff. 40 to 35 is a nerf on ptr but on live that a huge buff. Also Rylak’s the second best bis after Soul-forge.
It is possible the whole class is looking at an overhaul in the next expansion. I mean, we know that they work on more than one expac at a time independently.
Not making a prediction and I dont think it is a good method if thats the reason the class is left underperforming, but its possible. We saw it with SV in the latter half of WoD going into Legion.
I understand your point, but sadly the truth is that Rylak’s could do 100% increased damage and BM would still not be even close to the “middle of the pack”.
So I guess you can understand how this nerf, even knowing it is a PTR nerf, don’t make any sense and sounds absurd nonetheless. And again, ember is still siming higher than Rylak’s for ST even with the buff at 40%, lowering it to 35% sounds like a provocation.
It’s not a nerf though. It’s not going to be less than 20% once 9.0.5 goes live. Also you’re being facetious which isn’t a good way to be taken seriously. We can debate whether or not rylak’s deserved the 40% but to say a 15% increase is a nerf and that 100% increased damage wouldn’t bring BM to the middle of the pack is silly because it would. The 35-40% range brings people with good gear in line with soul forged embers for single target so a 100% increased damage would make it so people who just absolutely hate MM but are playing it for the bigger damage felt justified in coming back so you’d have better players playing BM again. The further you go into mythic progession logs the more often you see non-SFE leggos in the top 100. Huntsman which should have a clear advantage for SFE has other leggos there including rylaks, and sunking which should heavily favor SFE has a rylak’s as it’s number 1 log. Because…i’m going to let you on a big secret here, sims aren’t raid encounters. However BM’s complete lack of a burst kit means even if it was buffed to middle of the pack it still won’t be prioritized this tier because of the fact that this tier favors specs with on demand burst to push past pain points.
