Blueprint: Experimental Adventurer Augment

So after reading the wowhead comments for this item at https://www.wowhead.com/item=168908/blueprint-experimental-adventurer-augment#comments

I’ve been made aware months too late that this item will not drop again if you had it once and deleted it. IIRC I visited mechagon on this toon (Méòw) for some rares before doing the quests proper, so the turn in for this item was never visible, so the item was trashed.

It’s no longer in item recovery as far as I can tell, so I’m wondering what resolution can be had for this, outside of creating a whole new toon and starting from scratch.

The reason this issue is prominent is it’s an item required Mecha-Done https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=13541/mecha-done

They don’t have any specific support articles regarding the drop itself, only this one.

If it’s something you’re unable to purchase as suggested in that article? I would go about submitting your ticket here:

https://us.battle.net/support/en/help/contact/471/ticket

Now, you will likely get a templated response initially. Please just hit the button to the tune of “I still need help” to kick it up for a GM to take a look into things. I would mention and link the WoWhead comments, just to make sure they are aware you’ve already been there to try and resolve the issue yourself.

No, it’s not that. It’s a different item that won’t re-drop if you deleted it. Required for a meta achievement with an award.

It’s not in item recovery either.

Also, I have the item you linked already.

Alrighty, then I would submit the ticket so a GM can get it figured out for you. I didn’t think the article was right for the situation, but it was the only thing they had when I dug into the search.

Looks like some wowhead comments are saying a Game Master might need to recreate the item and mail it.

I most likely will require this…

The long-term fix would be for a developer to code for it to either re-drop or not drop until the crafting station you do the turn-in at is available instead, to prevent future cases of this.

Then definitely also make a post over in Bug Reports please. The ticket is the only way to reach out for a GM to hopefully still be able to send you the required item, but the Bug Report would be separate from that to reach the Devs and their staff.

I would be remiss if I didn’t at least warn that what might have been a fix before may not be the case now? Their policies change and GMs are only allowed to do what the Devs have dictated. There may be some other way they’re dealing with that now (how, I have no clue), but sometimes how they fix these issues may be changed. Hopefully it is something they can just flash through the mail, but I do like to cover all the bases just in case.

Looks like there are multiple open bug reports on this since circa 2020:

:dracthyr_sweat:

Well, you are welcome to tag into one of those or create a post of your own. If any are older with no recent responses as of a couple of weeks or so, definitely create a new one. I would just advise against responding to all of them. Just one is all you need, and going too ham could be spammy.

You’ll want to submit a ticket, Meow. While no restoration is guaranteed, we’re usually able to assist with this one once we have verified that you had earned it previously.

For clarification, it is not currently considered a bug that you cannot obtain it twice.
