Here’s the only one that matters: blizz wants to add transactions to classic and we want to pay for them. Your arguments mean nothing when confronted with that fact.
I don’t think that’s a very compelling argument for boosts. That’s just a summary of the status quo.
If I want to pay for a boost to level 70 with full BiS, should Blizzard add that for me? I’m willing to pay and Blizzard loves money, right?
Blizz isn’t offering that though. They’re offering a 58 boost and people have stated they’ll pay. That’s all that matters.
So anything Blizzard does is good so long as people are willing to pay for it? Your argument for adding boosts is that… Blizzard is adding boosts?

How is that an argument for boosts, though. You’re just saying “this is how it is” without actually making any case for why it should be the case.
So again, your argument for boosts is either “people will pay for it” or… well, nothing. Which is it?
If your argument is that people will pay for it, I can say that people will pay for instant 70 boosts with full T6. Do you want that too, because according to your logic, the fact people will pay for it means it should be added.
If your argument is “that’s how it is,” then you have no argument in favor of boosts, and thus is easily outweighed by the numerous negatives that have been pointed out in all these threads, so they should not be added.
I’m not arguing anything tbh, I’m just making a written record so blizz can see people will pay for it. You can keep trying to win arguments though while I plan what toon I want to boost on

they’ll still play when tbc classic releases with the boost. until then they’ll just make personal digs because they’re mad that blizz is doing something they don’t want them to.

I’ll happily take a boost. I’ve tried several times to level an alt without much success. My server is pretty quiet besides raids and boosts that I don’t have the gold for.
The arguments I see against boosts seem to be:
It’s now how the game is meant to be played.
( I’m not a dev so I can’t speak to this).
I don’t want to play with people who don’t know how to play.
(Neither do I, but I have personally seen multiple people in AQ40 that had no idea about the raid and a less than firm grasp of their class/spec. I don’t think it will be any worse to team with anyone that boosts to 58- they’ll still have to level to 70 and hopefully learn along the way).
It will help bots and gold farmers.
(Maybe it will- I don’t really see them on my server)
It’s the economy, stupid.
(I’ve never been much of an auctioneer- I know it’s possible to one dedicated player to upend the market. Again, I haven’t seen a widespread issue on my server- ymmv of course).
If you don’t have time to level, you won’t have time to play.
(I can only speak for my own time- which I consider precious. I know that I struggled just to keep up with raiding in classic so I’m not opposed to anything that might make it easier on anyone).

Blizzard doesn’t have “numbers” about how many people will quit over a certain change. They couldn’t possibly have anything of the sort.
