Blue post confirmed intentions for boosting

Can’t wait for my boost with my friend.

so let me get this straight, it’s ok for players to boost other players by cheesing mechanics and abusing safe spots in dungeons.
It’s not ok for the company that makes the game to sell character boosts for cash??

Boosts have been happening through the whole of classic it is the smartest move by blizzard, instead of people buying gold to pay for boosts ingame, blizzard will just sell you one and pocket the cash the gold sellers would have made.

you think bots only have one account? poor child, join our side. read through the threads, theres many other reasons for #NoBoosts

the argument seems to be “no both are bad and both should be forbidden”

though the anti-boosters, as far as I’ve seen, have yet to even try and acknowledge that the level boost is a method of combatting the gold sellers

I know that, what I meant is at least they won’t be able to boost multiple characters on the same server and then rotate them as they get dungeon locked, they will have to waste time and money leveling up.

correct. fix the “safe spots” if they are considered a bug or not intended. fix the experience gains if they are considered a bug or not intended. theres a ton of ways to deal with that problem without saying “screw it, lets just sell them the boost for real money.”

Nah. I’m just gonna pay blizz for the service they’re offering. Take my money blizz!

Blizzard has had over a year to prevent boosting by fixing the safe spots, I think it is safe to assume they are not interested in doing it.

not much, if at all. sorry.

so that makes it justified to sell instant boosts…yeah…see, thats the problem.

I have no problem with boosts, I will never personally use one.

I just dont see how it affects anyones gameplay.

if i cared to repeat the hours of discussion thats already happened on the topic i would, read through the other threads. you probably wont change your mind but its the best i can do.

perhaps when I am not at work I will take the time to read through them to gain an insight into why people deem boosting to be bad.

your call. im exhausted at this point.

i’ve read, and responded, to a lot of those posts you’ve made. your responses have been “no, and because i say no.” when i give you what i consider valid reasons that oppose yours. you decide my reasons aren’t valid. then say someone OBVIOUSLY hasn’t read your posts/reasonings. do you think anyone who reads your posts automatically has to change their opinion? no, i’ve read your posts. they’re faulty reasoning TO ME. just like mine are TO YOU.

Incorrect. Go back and read what I said if you think that’s all it boils down to.

It’s no because of the reasons I had given you. Without knowing specifically what you’re referring to, I don’t really know the exact reason I would’ve given.

Stop lying.

No, of course not. I don’t expect to change any of the minds of the people I respond to.

Generally speaking, anyone willing to engage in public arguments on the forum is pretty dead set on their opinions, with absolutely nothing that could change their mind.

I just enjoy discussing these things, and maybe someone else reads the argument and decides they don’t support boosts. Hopefully one of those people is in Blizzard’s team, but I don’t hold out a lot of hope.

No, it’s not as simple as “your reasoning is faulty because you disagree with me.”

There are a plethora of well-reasoned arguments I don’t agree with. The pro-boost folks have presented zero of them.

take it easy on him iron, he’s a little slow on the uptake. hes probably only gonna read like 10% of your post.

Boosts are bad, mkay?

don’t you have somewhere you need to rage about how people who boost are babies? while also not understanding that you’re whining more than anyone else is.

there ya go
