Blue Eyes for Blood Elves

For the record. They wouldn’t need to do that. We’ve seen it multiple times that the majority of High elves that are not leaning towards independency are more than OK to hanging out with their own people, and even those that are not that independant either, as Auric.

(Commentary): Hey! I will GLADLY take my Harry Potter system of measurements over your perfectly logical and easy one, buddy! 12 inches to a foot, and 11 sickles to a galleon!

there are none beyond the political. i am talking specifically about the neutral dalaran population that never cut ties with their homeland and still return periodically. you can keep the 2 canon easter eggs in SW

You can keep ignoring that the Arcane in the Sunwell is still there but, no matter how much you ignore it, it won’t make it go away.

Doesn’t matter. You seem really agitated over this.

(Statement): I explained the cultural differences. Also I can’t say I’ve seen anything to suggest the Dalaran High Elves in particularly, ‘routinely,’ return to Quel’Thalas. Indeed, the last time the Silver Covenant was there, a messenger from Lor’themar demanded to know why those, ‘Exiles,’ were in Quel’Thalas, suggesting the High Elves of Dalaran, or at least the Silver Covenant, were all exiled.

I’m not the one denying very clear, canon lore :woman_shrugging:

yea love that part. developers and lore literally state the sunwell is holy as much as it is arcane but they still fanfiction its only holy

Sure you are.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to bait from me, but I feel it’s not working.

No, you baited me, but it is not working.

We’ve literally only ever seen High Elves in Quel’danas once. In the entire existence of WoW(thegame), we’ve never actually seen a High Elf living in Silvermoon or even comfortably associating with them. The High Elves on their pilgrimage to the Sunwell make it a point to stand at the opposite side of the room to the Blood Elves. There’s no signs showing that they’re getting along.

Alleria, a champion of the Alliance, was allowed pilgrimage to the Sunwell. Lor’themar knew full well who and what she was, and still allowed it. Lor’themar has enough respect for the High Elves to see the Sunwell, and I’m 90% sure that’s where it ends.

alleria tainted it with void

high elves are everywhere in quel’thalas, not just quel’danas. you saw a group visiting that particular day :woman_shrugging:. its auric sunchasers last lore position after returning from allerian stronghold in outland

(Commentary): Its worth noting that when Alleria visited the Sunwell, there were no more High Elf NPCs present either.

(Supposition): I imagine the pilgrims seen back in Wrath were present to either see the Sunwell or form a stronger connection to it to ease their withdrawals. Either way, by the time of BFA, there weren’t any there anymore, not even Auric as a representative. Given that he has an Islands Expedition group named after him, I imagine he’s staunchly Alliance as well.

To stick to this argument it serves to show the fragility of their request, imo.

I just pointed out that the Sunwell has been purified and a mixture of Arcane and Holy for 13 years. You had 13 years to understand this, but I guess it can’t happen when you refuse to accept it.

That would be headcanon. We don’t have anything that estates this happened.

lol ikr. i mean blood elves arent high elves in their fanfiction after all. what difference does it make if they get a small customization that makes sense lorewise. is the argument for playable alliance high elves that weak?(yes)

You have to understand you just got golden eyes because of this but you don’t!

We’ve seen a total of 4 canon interactions with the Sunwell? One was in the raid, the other was a flashback for the Belf heritage armor scenario, and one was for the sword questline. The last and 4th canon interaction we’ve had with it was during the Nightborne recruitment quest, and there’s no High Elves to be seen. At all. In fact, in only one of the four times we’ve seen it, there has only been one scenario with High Elves there.

(Statement): The new golden eye options are linked to either skin, or face selection, I cannot remember which. Regardless, to avoid effectively doubling the skin/face options just to provide a new eye color, they only added three options. I would imagine this is why ONLY gold eyes were added. Other colors that would make sense would include Red and Purple.
