Blue Eyes for Blood Elves

I am not and it doesn’t make any sense.

the implication for those elves is they are there to become void elves. i thought it was obvious but danuser confirmed it

“They start out as a small group,” Danuser continues. “But it’s natural as other elves have found out about them — elves who are interested in new sources of magic, power, or opportunities — would see if they could undergo a similar process. They’re not … recruiting , necessarily, but they’re open to those who show a similar interest.”

You not accepting the Lore that exist doesn’t mean it makes no sense.

(Statement): Lorewise there is logic for Blood Elves to have blue eyes, unless the Sunwell is specifically overpowering the arcane element with Light, in which case the golden eyes would be more of a sign of Light-based, ‘Corruption,’ for lack of a better term. There is nothing to suggest that is the case at this time.

(Commentary): The only reason to not give Blood Elves blue eyes would be to maintain visual distinction between them and High Elf NPCs. This is why the eye color difference exists in the first place. Without a new form of visual distinction, something much more drastic and noticeable, the Blood Elf race may as well just be made Neutral.

Did you just “No U” me when it doesn’t even make sense in the context of the argument?

There will be high elf threads with high elves posting in them. Imagine…

They’re still, as of right now, two years after their introduction, regular High Elves and Blood Elves. Until something starts happening to them, I’m going to say they’re regular High Elves and BLood Elves.

Is also kind of vague… lol. That could mean many things.

this falls apart when you see pandaren and blue eyed blood elf DKs running around and then danuser again confirming blue eyed blood elves already exist

and blue eyed high elves also exist on alliance

so what

we just have to accept the fact blizz will never compromise it

(Commentary): To the best of my knowledge, the only confirmation about a blue eyed blood elf, was a Dev stating they didn’t want to tell the story about a blacksmithing NPC for Blood Elves who had blue eyes. For all we know that was a High Elf to returned to Quel’Thalas, and may even be the only one. There is too little information.

Dks blue eyes are not the same, they don’t look the same and are blue(ish) for different reasons.

Logically speaking, the customization options that should or shouldn’t be available for a playable race should not be limited over the existance of a handful of NPCs.

exactly. theres so many ways blood elves could get blue eyes besides just the green glint being cleansed finally. it could come from dalaran high elves repatriating back into quel’thalas or even folding the SC of dalaran back into the farstriders now that the war is going on the back burner

so then why hasnt blizzard acted on it yet?

shadowlands is bringing more customization to races that deserve them more, blue eyes will be something that blizz will tease till this game dies

(Commentary): It just seems unlikely to me. There are far too many cultural differences between the High Elves of the Alliance and Dalaran, and the Blood Elves of Quel’Thalas. Quel’Thalas is a meritocratic dictatorship, complete with propaganda spewing arcane constructs and literal thought police, a place where large segments of the population can be and are exiled for the crime of disagreeing with the state. I just don’t see any reason for the High Elves in Dalaran and the Alliance, whom enjoy many more freedoms and privileges, would want to go to Quel’Thalas, particularly when the chances are high of just being exiled again.

(Supposition): I suppose Quel’Thalas could mass abduct High Elves and use their thought police to make them into Horde-Loyal drones, but I don’t think such an unambiguously villainous plot would sit well with most Horde players. The Sylvanas loyalist crowd would probably have a field day though.

They might come with shadowlands.

We don’t know if this will happen.

Should it? Yes. It makes sense.

Will it? We’ll have to wait and see.

Play a blood elf DK. They have blue eyes.
There’s your high elf.
I think it’s just one of those things that if they added it as an eye color, then the player base interested in it would start screaming out for the name change and whole different race.

Give em a centimeter they’ll take it a Kilometer (f*** the imperial system)

I know that is why you got golden eyes instead of blue eyes once the sunwell was purified, but no you!
