Considering the elves from dalaran or alleria stronghold, would it be correct to state ‘that the elven kingdom were still on speaking terms with the human kingdoms’?
This topic is about Blood Elves getting an eye color option.
Yes of course a playable race and their options definitely takes precedent over a desire that some people have to a race that isn’t even playable.
So, no, this argument does NOT go ‘both ways’.
They just redid blood elves to have golden eyes not too long ago, take that as your sign. Blue eyes aren’t happening or any other eye color. If they wanted them in the game they would have added them during adding the gold eyes.
They didn’t “redid” blood elves to give them golden eyes. They took three of the already existing faces, copied them and added golden eyes to it.
And as its counterpart, Night elves got their night warrior eyes.
So I imagine you don’t want Night elves to get the other colors night elves players have been asking for a long time?
Or instead… they could add eye colors to all the base races because they are also customizations, like they said they would add with Shadowlands.
I couldn’t care less about what night elves get tbh, I don’t play ally anymore. Just saying usually if blizzard does changes to the game in a specific area, ITS HIGHLY UNLIKELY they will return to that area and do any level of development when they literally just finished it.
Except that they have already showed that they are working on separating the eyeballs from the rest of the face in all models, which is why we got new glow for everyone, and new DK eyes.
Are you saying that because they did something that’s long overdue, they won’t add something that is part of the customization they sppoke of because you think they already worked on it and you based this is only recoloring the eyes of thre faces for blood elves?
Seems like flimsy reasoning.
Nope you are missing the point but alas clearly you will continue to gaslight what I said.
The clear and simple, they spent dev time putting in golden eyes, don’t you think if they had planned blue eyes they would have done it then?
I don’t think that word means what you think it means.
I’m not trying to “manipulate (someone) by psychological means into doubting their own sanity” I’m simply challenging your argument.
They also spent dev time on separating the eyeballs from the rest of the face in every model (which, funnily enough, ended up with high elves with green eyes in the PTR). Clearly, they are planning something with eyeballs in general.
Ok you mentioned high elf, I’m out
Have fun wishing for random eye colors on blood elf
Uh… because high elves NPCs ended up with green eyes.
But… sure? I’ll take it after you accused me of trying to psychologically manipulate you
Really don’t get why folk are so upset that blood elves are likely getting blue eyes.
Oh I’m sure you know it the same way I do.
But then again, the fragility of certain request would show if it was too obvious.
Likely because they fail to realize that the Alliance already has High Elves, and so giving a mere scrap to the Horde is more so out of pity then anything else. Even if the Sin’dorei gain blue eyes, they are still on the lesser faction, and nowhere near as sensual as the Ren’dorei.
Let them complain and wallow in their own self-victimization. High Elves have been playable on the Alliance since 2018.
Not really. The two are the same race.
The scarlet crusade, defias, fogsail pirates, are all groups that wre anti-alliance but had no need to differin their appearance to demonstrate themselves as a different group.
why would they give the horde elves extra customization and the alliance elves only 1 new option?
they are finally separating eyes from the face in shadowlands. the whole point is to give all the races eye color choice, something ion said they wanted to do specifically. the bigger question is why would only the most popular race in the game not get more options when it makes sense lorewise? blood elf(high elf) players would take a page out of the helfer play book and spam the forums for it
even lorewise it makes sense those closer to the light would be cleansing the dissipation the fastest. sunwell is arcane as much as it is holy. blue eyes makes sense for those closer to the arcane to reflect the cleansing effect of the sunwell finally for them. all elves use arcane in some capacity in their lives, especially the magister types. blue eyes and more make sense and everybody not in denial of what blood elves are and the sunwell is knows it
your reasoning for denying it is a joke. updated and advanced customization is a selling point for shadowlands and its very likely blood elves(high elves) will get options to reflect where they should and will be in the future
Because alliance has been literally groveling and bending the knee for years to get them. I promise you if horde gets them the blood elf population will go from 22% to 100%
Correction, 99%, I am fine as a nelf and wouldn’t switch
Maybe my reasoning is a joke to you thats fine we all have opinions.
But I’m not so entitled to every single cosmetic change I think I want added, for whatever random reason that you spend hours convincing yourself the game needs
it is not random. the sunwell is arcane/holy. the senior narrative designer told us only elves with a strong devotion to the light can manifest gold eyes once they have been cleansed. so the potential is there for elves with a strong devotion to the arcane(magister types) to manifest blue eyes after being bombarded by the arcane/holy magic of the sunwell 24/7 for the last 8+ years lore time. combined with the fact metzen/afrasiabi said the very minor green glint will fade but takes a while to wear off in an ask cdev, you call that a random reason?
My thoughts as well, I think the BE customizations will all be other things including more Golden eyes face options, but not blue eyes because it doesn’t make sense imo with holy acting like a weed in terms of magic source
citation needed. you do not trump the devs. as well with your biased logic it would mean all high elves would manifest golden eyes because they all share the exact same connection to the sunwell. you do not get to choose which part of the sunwell to tap into because of a political adjective and those without a green glint would have done it the fastest. no high elf would have blue eyes. oof
