If blood elves (and nightborne) were to get druids, they should be actual druids divorced from the arcanists who manipulated nature in very un-druidic ways and were relevant for one instance, and if the handling of warlocks for all races was any indication, they will. We had a whole one-off group of fel-corrupted tauren in Legion, but when Highmountain tauren got warlocks, they didn’t appear in the initial storyline or were made playable in some form, so druids for more races would more than likely be the same.
The Nightborne and Blood Elves augmenting their flora, fauna, and environs are important facets of their story and are practices that persist even in the current setting.
If they need to be divorced from anything, it’s the cookie-cutter Cenarion Circle idea of what is acceptable Druidism and what isn’t.

Did they really say that about Druids being the last class to open up? I mean, it makes sense because it’s the class that is due the biggest amount of work.
Better later than never, I suppose.
Blood elves don’t deserve to be druids. They’re evil and couldn’t handle the power. And would insist all the inns have a cat box. No, Just NO!

It’d be cool for them to connect to the Loa in Quel’Thalas too – That the Amani seem to worship (Dragonhawk, Lynx, Eagle & Bear).
Wouldn’t be too far fetched for the loa to help out the elves, given that the Amani have shackled the loa to use their greater-power by force.

However I think they can make it work plus make such rather cool too WITH the lore.

Blizzard said they’d open more classes to more races.
They did NOT say “All races = All Classes” – as many keep falsely quoting.
- If they were going to do such, they would’ve released Earthen with Death Knights since they share animation with the other dwarves & don’t really have any unique-race assets with the class.
Although I would argue that some (But not every) classes could be given to most if not all races and a few races could be more open to receiving all classes than others would.
However I know for absolute certainty — That I personally don’t want to see mechagnome or undead druids.

Uh, no. Druids honor the cycle: life/death, day/night, the seasons, the phases of the moon, etc. That’s literally what a Balance Druid is all about lol
The real conflict is that Blood Elves shunned druidism and embraced Arcane magic. That’s how they became Blood Elves. That’s the core difference between the two Elves.
