Blood Elf Customization Desires Thread

And this is true. There’s a lot of politics and lifestyle differences. And everyone should get to make their elf look how they see them. It’s is a RP game afterall.

I noticed even Night Elves are also getting the Blue Eye treatment, if you look in their Dressing Room options…does that make them Alliance too? Even if they weren’t Alliance, per say?

I feel the same, but at this point I’m fairly sure they won’t add them as a class. It’s best to ask for what’s in reach.

As for the rest of you, please don’t engage with trolls, it will only derail this thread. Let him post here, it will keep this thread active. Thank you for all your support. <3

Also, Warcraft 2 is still canon.
But so are the events in WC3.

That’s why there’s a divide in the race and why there’s some remaining High Elves with the Alliance, but the majority of the race is with the Horde.

It’s not.
It’s a political thing that was mostly represented in game with the blue eyes.
And again, now that the models will be playable on Alliance, both races can have customization that match because there’s no need for that minor of a visual distinction.

There are better ways to separate the two.
Focusing on the Blood Elves pushing forwards into a new future is one of the inspiration sources they can draw from for said customization. (Why I mentioned the Light based stuff from the Sunwell; Alliance High Elves wouldn’t have access to such a thing, thus allowing for something to really pop on Horde side.)

I’m not sure why you think that, the fact that there are night elf dark rangers still around shows they could very well be added after shadowlands. I wouldn’t count on undead skins being added for an existing race. San’layn could be added down the road since they were part of the horde in BFA. Or perhaps Venthyr for the vampire-like race if blizz decides they can cross over to Azeroth.

I love this nelf hairstyle, it would look beautiful in my belves and velves

It comes from the way Blizzard has treated Dark Rangers for years. In Legion, they were present in the hunter class hall. Before BFA, they only had access to hunter spells. It wasn’t until BFA they plugged Sylvanas’ HotS spells like wailing arrow along with shadowburn shot into their spell kit. Before BFA, Blizzard treated Dark Rangers like shadowy undead MM hunters and not a separate hero class.

It wasn’t until Sylvanas’ cool AF banshee mode moment and their focus on her, THE dark ranger, in BFA that it felt like they might be changing their mind. Plus, people are tired of elves (I’m not, I love elves) and don’t want another elf-centric class. Maybe if we saw more non elven DRs then they might have a chance as a class. One last thing, Shadowlands would have been the perfect expansion to introduce the Dark Ranger, but they didn’t.

I think that Blizz could make them distinct enough from hunters, but they don’t seem to want to. But enough, derailment. Thank you for contributing, Wrynn.

Death knights like Baron Rivendare and some demon hunters used to cast shadowbolt like warlocks, so I don’t think that would stop them from adding them. Dark rangers are also archers so makes sense they’d be at the hunter order hall as there’s no current playable version. I think they can make it work, plenty of classes use two handed weapons so hunters don’t have to have a monopoly on bows and guns.

We do see Sylvanas training undead dark rangers I believe in Legion before you go to Stormheim, plus there’s Nathanos so could have humans as dark rangers too on top of the night elves we’ve already covered.

Also makes sense that dark rangers would be added after shadowlands since it’s likely Sylvanas will get the Kerrigan treatment and could train new ones. But yeah, I think they can easily add them.

That would be great, but just in case…

I would be cool with this. FYI most of those things are already in FF14, and I must admit though it won’t totally pry me from this I am quite taken with it in many ways. WoW does have some catching up to do when it comes to customization, always has if you look at most other similar games the options are usually double or even more. Even after the new models I’d say the character options until SL are in line with EQ1 from 1999, oof.

I am in complete agreement. I have always been disappointed with our lack of options in WoW. I can’t tell you the times I’ve ran into people who look almost exactly like my character.

For Hair: Half shaved style, braided, double ponytail, light effects in hair.

For Eyes: Orange, Red, Purple, Brown, Pink, Silver. Pretty much any color. Most or all races seems to be getting all these eye colors, so it would be nice to also have this for this race.

For Ears: Torn ear(s)

For Body: Scars on face, tattoos normal/glowing runic.

Also, blizz. Boob slider.

Yes, luckily I’ve shuffled my mog a bit so I haven’t hit a clone yet, but I no doubt will because, well, I’m a DH, probably the least modifiable class in almost every way.

I’d add one with SLIGHT red tint, for felblood elves that left before they got in too deep

They actually do have a connection to it. That’s why Arator has golden eyes. Pretty sure it’s been mentioned eventually high elves will have gold eyes.

Blood and high should both have blue and gold. There’s no reason they shouldn’t.

Which is nice for us Shen’dralar players too. Much more arcane but still night elf.

Agreed more options never hurt anyone.

I think for the gold eyes thing, we need to see how the story plays out.

A lot of the High Elf NPC’s had their eyes switched to purple on the alpha.
Something’s up.

Yeah…honestly, I’d prefer San’layn/Dark Rangers over the High Elf motif! I still have hope, but not to get those hopes up too high, else I may be disappointed…

This has always been my biggest issue.
It really doesn’t make sense to me… I just want long gorgeous looking hair. :broken_heart:
