Not high elves, stop trolling. High elves are elves who didn’t take the name blood elf and stayed loyal to the alliance eye color doesn’t change that. Also when I refer to not listening to players I’m talking about the fit over flying that still hasn’t been resolved and is estimated to have literally lost them half the playerbase on it’s own.

Wowhead was showcasing the new character creation screen and neglected to note that the blood elf they had selected had orange eyes.

high elves are blood elves, a few arent and are an extremely rare thing outside of quel’thalas and dalaran

I’m glad we have more options now. I think I’ll go blue eyes on this character with a slightly darker skin tone but will probably keep gold on my priest. Debating on using green or blue on my rogue.
I’m going to guess DK don’t get to really mess with eye color but what are you planning on doing if you have any other belf alts?

I’m going to use blue eyes on my hunter and maybe a tan, but so far none of the skin tones I see for Belf interest me. Waiting for the ones I do want.
I’m using the black hair on my demon hunter, though.

I think this toon will have teal eyes. Still has some of the Fel radiation but it’s going back to blue.
My DH will of course probably not change.
My priest is going to have Golden still as will my paladin.
Not sure about my rogue…
I’m also going to make a hunter with blue eyes who’s actually a spy for SI:7 and never left behind his allegiance to the Alliance.

I’m probably going to go a bit darker on my rogue. I generally use pirate/nautical themes on them and it’s my headcanon that it’s all the sun/etc. I know the skin tones aren’t going to be for everyone based on what character they’re using but it’s great to get some variety of choice.
See, this is why I love these new customizations (for all races) because it allows for this kind of thing. The small things really add up and it helps get you into your characters!

not sure. hopefully DK can change between red, green and blue. if thats the case my eye color will reflect whatever spec i am

I’m going with these eyes, as the shade, and glow really reflect the heavy use of Arcane magic.

Snowsong will be a repatriated High elf recently returned to Quel’thalas after being stranded in Outland at the Allerian Stronghold. Like may of the high elves there, her use arcane relics suppressed the effects of fel corruption.

Literally blood elves are not high elves you guys claim to know lore so you should know that if you were claiming to be high elves it would mean you were dishonoring the sacrifices of your kin. High elves are those who decided that staying loyal not indulging in fel was more important than pursuing vengeance at all costs.
So someone who will be shunned by blood elves since they have chosen not to take the title. Gotta love people who want to be the bad guys but still pretty and have no idea about lore but attempt to use it to own the libs I mean the alliance sorry.
Yes? They had their war against flying and drove away half the playerbase because they knew best and what the players wanted wasn’t worth listening to.

You realize that FF14 reported a massive rise in subs after they announced they were adding flying literally the day after the polygon interview where blizz said they were getting rid of it for good right? People like flying the current devs for whatever reason dislike it and have continually fought a tug of war over it that has cost them subs. In other words yes refusing to listen to feedback has lost a ton of subs.
Harlequin spent a good few years with the Argent Dawn trying to drive back the scourge in EPL/WPL, had to protect people from the lingering effects and didn’t want to get caught up in the faction barrier…thought her sister had died during the 3rd war and had a single minded focus. Ended up going back home once the LK was vanquished (and was reunited with her sister who had sheltered in Dalaran) to help rebuild. Joined the Silver Hand in a heartbeat once it was reformed and champions it’s causes while also serving her people. She’s looking forward to all who wish to reunite after so long, recovering and moving forward.
Still working on bits of my others, I had them mostly as fun toons but it’s great to think about what they’ve been through and how in WoW especially with all the new customization options.

You can’t change your race with a renaming. The renaming is to honor other fallen High Elves. The High Elves that stayed with the Alliance, just never renamed. Still the same race. Belves also didn’t indulge in fel. Most were exposed passively. The ones that sucked fel became the Felblood.
