It is unfortunate I am unable to roll my eyes any harder. Tanks shouldn’t have ANY burst in PVP. Whether it can or can’t be countered is irrelevant.

I don’t care about rating here. If a player is coasting to any level of rating, even 1200, because they’re playing a tank, then it’s bad for the game. If people playing tanks could just be honest in the conversation, I’m sure most of us would care substantially less. It’s that not only do we have to deal with these tanks from time to time, but then we have to hear about why it’s actual tough to play tanks and bla bla bla.

Ah yes, nothing says zug zug like having an unkillable target in arena. Also, saying healers have decimated 2s is pretty funny. That’s nothing new. That’s 2s.

Which ones? Usually it’s dime a dozen oblivious solo only dps player.

I have had a few blood dks in my shuffle games now. Almost all of them were running down the healer. Mostly priests, but have seen a Pali and druid get dunked on.

I really don’t get if you’re trolling or not atm, but it’s pretty dumb this has to be argued or anyone is defending blood dk burst. Just say you want the game to be awful bro.

BDK having a crumb of burst and still being considerably worse than a class like Hunter really isn’t that unreasonable.

I disagree on all counts, Tanks have always been about control and timed burst. You must have started in SL or something.

If a double DPS team in 2v2 has no chance against a Healer/DPS team then the balance is in the gutter

Their overall output has been on par with most other dps while also having half or more healing as the healer… even more if targeted.

No they haven’t. I played a tank in PvP in arena during wrath… back when defense rating was a thing and tanks didn’t have bloated stats for mitigation. I played a tank in RBGs from cata through the early part of mop. While warriors had small bursts, it was never enough to take a target down in a few seconds.

That’s how it’s always been. If it’s not, it’s just rogue/mage. There have been a few times where hunter/rogue, rogue/ret, and hunter/ret have been a thing. There were some odd double dps comps in 2s during MoP with symbiosis, but still not much. It’s almost always been healer/dps as the predominant match up.

I played one to 2400 as one and was able to 3 shot people, it was extremely gear dependent

The shield slam hit was big, but that’s it. They didn’t have massive finishing damage. Deadly Calm with OKAY at best. MANCLEAVE was more meme than anything. All the best prot comps still were about the off dps doing the damage and the prot offering utility/peels. The best prot comp was resto druid, disc, prot Pali. Had nothing todo with burst and everything todo with control and mana burns.

All physical lobbies into prot warr or bdk are kind of the exception.

Especially at lower mmrs where nobody adjusts around bg or bdk dmg profile or resource gen.

Nah, shockwave hit the same as a fully loaded shield bash. Warmane literally removed recklessness affecting it cause the burst was too high

Guess what, Arms was still better because you were actually tankier as arms with Second Wind/Blood Craze. You didnt have to wear as much PvE gear and still did more overall damage with more mobility/consistent damage. That is some awesome and fun balancing right there.

They have to have 100% uptime to come close to achieving half of that. They do have good burst, however. Their overall is more like 50% of a dps.

Depends on the lobby and there are plenty of targets they can have near 100% uptime on.

You could easily get a couple Shield Bashes off during that window along with a Shockwave with Sword and Board

You’ve never had 100% armor pen, you went the block value spec which is much worse unless it was the first season before the nerf.
