I’m unable to test this because I don’t have a meter, however, I’ve noticed that strength doesn’t seem to be affecting block on my paladin. With a change of 150+ block rating, the tooltip doesn’t change. Is this just a tooltip error or is strength not applying to block for Paladins? This is pretty important for the class, so I hope there is a solution.
I think they’re having stat tooltip issues in general.
Same thing happening to people with gems. And then they had the whole issue with green gear not working. Stats seem to be boycotting TBC.
this basically
wiki says not to confuse block value with block rating
Strength does not affect block rating. That is correct and not a bug.
Strength increases block value at a ratio of 20 strength to 1 block value.
it’s probably just a tooltip issue. hard to believe they could make a stat stop working. but who knows these days.
also yeah, it doesn’t effect block rating, just block value
Don’t bring your voodoo gods into this conversation, priest! We don’t worship “wiki” round these parts.
Ah, ok. I know the difference in the two, I just didn’t realize it was only block value. It’s been years since I played.
Thanks!
STR is pretty much worthless to paladins so avoid it if you can. Uncrushable + 490 def + sta and Spell Power! My head hurts when i see these dumb paladins throwing str and mp5 in defense gear for tanking. Seen a lot with agi enchanters and nowhere near uncrushable looking to tank Karazhan and heroics.
You do know getting crushed is not a thing in heroics?
No but stacking str gems over spell power is a thing! I can not see the benefit in stacking str or mp5 for a prot paladin for heroics. Do you know?
