Blizz's own words about Hunters

But too bad their numbers are too small and they dont make the bulky of the game.

Lets see if the pet removal entirely will hold on, when it failed twice already in the past.

Which is why pvp is such a mess right now

Nahh, it’s pure M+.

Raid (and to a lesser extent delves) are entirely subordinate to M+.

The PvE gearing ever since Legion has just been “you will do M+ and you will like it”.

Maybe you think that “the numbers are too small”. Maybe that’s even true. But that’s not relevant. What we think about the population numbers does not change the simple fact that BLIZZARD have decided they are going to cater to them anyways.

PvP is ALWAYS a mess. You can have a game with just 32 pieces on a 8x8 grid and it can still be full of crazy people and a toxic environment. You might want to try a family board game night and see how “friendly” that becomes.

Numbers are small if you make a ratio compared the projected number of subs with the number of keys done above certain number and mythic participation they are way too small.

And i do think its relevant, to a degree because the bulk of your playerbase - paying subs - are the ones who need to be happy about your game, the casuals.

Making changes they dont notice like buffs, nerfs and spell and talent tree changes is whatever, but changing something so big and impactful… it will be noticed, cause it directyl affect how they play and enjoy the game, it will be faced with general criticism .

Its blizz job to make this mess work, as people already discussed over it the ptr forum, you can make the proposed changes and keep summoning pet as option just fine

Ever since M+ became the bar to balance the game pvp went to crap, cause they cant separate the two modes

You are misreading what I said. When I said the “that’s not relevant”, that was referring to the fact that your/my thoughts or feeling on the matter is not relavent.

Your reading of the ratios can be 100% correct but is irrelavent. Bliz is the only opinion that counts here. And they are going to ignore everything else except M+ where balancing is concerned. Right or wrong.

That I completely disagree with. PvP gear has its own track. Has DELIBERATELY got different stats when out of PvP. Certain abilities work only in PvP or have reduced effect in PvP. Balance issues for gear stopped being an issue years ago.

Implying that PvP has never not been a mess is at best naive and at worst disengenuous.

No no, i understand, im saying casuals - the big chunk of the playerbase - are relevant, because at the end of the day, they are the majority that pay and play.

Of course blizz can chose to ignore then, but that is besides the point of being relevant or not

Sometimes PVE gear is just better, it happens a couple of times and the main issue is abilities being nerfed and changed because how they work on pve that screw over pvp

Blademaster’s torment, by example, was a fine pvp ability, changed because PVe and now is useless.

Naive and disingenuous is thinking it was all the same mess, clearly there was times it was much better and it was at the time they didn’t made every change focused on M+

  1. You really really don’t understand. I AGREE with you that the chunk of the player base are relevant. But if Blizz chose to ignore them, of course that makes whatever importance they are irrelevant. If Blizzard chose to close the servers down tomorrow, our opinions on it are irrelavent. If Blizzard chooses to make all hunters wear a duck on their heads our duck antipathy opinions would be irrelavent.

  2. What does PvE and PvP gear being better or worse than each other got to do with your argument. Which is that M+ has made it worse?

  3. Plus PvP has affected PVE more than the other way around. Stuns and the like for various classes were changed specifically because people were complaining about them in PvP.

  4. You can’t give a blanket “M+ made PvP worse” and then move the goalposts with calling it different messes. If you said “some decisions due to M+ made some bits of PvP worse” then I’d agree with you. What I vehemently disagreed with was saying that essentially M+ was the source of all evils.

  5. If you DIDN’T mean that, then you need to say it. I cannot read what is not actually written.

See, i disagree with this, but that is more on a fundamental level rather than the subject

You can still think an different opinion or statement is relevant, even if you dont act upon it.

Some PVE gear was better in PVP forcing people to run PVE to get then, making then better than people pure geared on PVP and who dont like PVE, its a mess

Doubt, i even say more classes getting stuns was due to PVE needing to stun mobs in M+ so it affected PVP making a CC fiesta

I can, because there is a degree, i can say my body burning is worse than just my leg burning.

It is undeniable that balancing PVE affected PVP greatly, thats why they try to minimize with some skills doing different modifiers in PVP, but still doesnt make it good and foten more confusing;

So it’s on the PTR now and I tried it. The bird isn’t there 99% of the time. It shows up for half a second when you cast certain things (e.g. Lust or Master’s Call) and immediately zips away again. It’s a glorified spell effect and the rest of the time (read: vast majority) you basically are Legolas. It’s exactly what I wanted, kudos to Blizzard.

Yeah, its awful either way

Legolas dont use birds, not even for half a second

You had exactly what you wanted before with lone wolf, now you dont, cause legolas dont use bird to do stuff

Hellllll yes

Exactly what I was hoping for!

Nope

Legolas isn’t empowered by Ohn’ara either. Deal with it.

With Lone Wolf I had to take the pet out to Lust / MC / GW, so no.

Yepe

Neither the hunter, so either way your entire argument falls appart

you are not legolas with the rework, it will never be, cause elgolas dont have birds to do his bidding, dont try to lie to pass this up

You didnt had to, you did because YOU wanted

You don’t know your own class lore? Explains a lot.

Imagine wanting to use my spells, especially the ones I need for group/raid utility.

Hunter isnt empowered by ohn’ara, they made up this thing in DF

Unless you can defacto prove all hunter powers come from it

IT your pet spells

Roll a pet class use pet skills, you signed for it

dont like, play mage, they have lust without pet

The problem for me is that it’s a pet class; each single spec should have a pet they tamed. This is a silly and unnecessary redesign. It wasn’t as bad as taking the mage pet away, but this is an actual pet class. Try experimenting with Demon Hunter—they have room for a third spec.

Nobody said “all.”

You want lust with pet, play BM or Surv.

You cant prove it, got it

Prove the ridiculous thing you invented in your head?

I’m glad you recognize what you are for refusing to do the obvious thing.
