Your proof that the hunter is empowered by a wild god, is their class hall in legion? are you high? 
Even survival have more ties with Ohnara cause their artifact weapon 
That would be interesting. A ranged DH.
It should be noted that Ohnara empowered the site and gave it her blessing specifically against the legion, not that Ohnara is the source of hunter abilities as they had those prior to Gaining her favor during the hunters class hall questline.

You don’t get it. A spell efect is not a pet anymore than Murder of Crows is a pet…

What I do not get is why they did not just make a 4th spec for hunters called Ranger and have that the petless spec. It fits the lore and it’s not like a 4th spec would be new, druid already has 4 specs.
That way you can keep your single pet (MM), menagerie (BM) and melee (Surv)

Because that would require actual effort and work on Blizzards part to develop a new spec and make it stand out against the three other specs. And as has already been well established, blizzard employees hate work when they can just take the easiest route.

I have kited dragons to Org, I have solo’d elites plenty of times without a pet, you are acting like kiting is some new skill to Hunters which is laughable at best, trolling at worst

I think they should just have those moves that summon an eagle for MM to instead summon your primary pet or something. Idk make a glyph? Kind of sucks for players who don’t want to run around with two beasts or be melee to have to use an eagle for their beast attacks on MM. At least let them use the pet they’ve had - possibly for years.

I HATE this proposal. I like using a tenacity pet to tank while I’m doing solo content. There is already the option to not use a pet and get a 5% damage bonus. There is NO NEED to force MM to not use a pet.
