I wish u.gg had more extensive reporting. I’m sure people in the mid range are occasionally using a pet, but it’d be interesting to see how few.
I still think they should replace “Exotic Taming” with “Exotic Training” and just give all pet species a second ability that only BM has access to. The whole notion of “Exotic” pets is rather silly when you consider the variety of player-race cultures we have and the places we’ve been.
Like, how are Devilsaurs and Pterrordaxes exotic to a Zandalari when they’re involved in their day-to-day lives? Meanwhile plantlike beasts from the Emerald Dream, alien creatures from Argus, and mechanical stone/hard light automatons from the edge of creation that happen to be shaped like dogs are just… pedestrian fare I guess.
Yeah that’s another great point.
- Limiting the whole ‘exotic’ notion to BM alone, rather disconnects from the fantasy of the class.
Especially for Survival, due to what I said earlier — That they actually fight side-by-side their pet, like equals.
It would definitely do a lot to shut down these nonsensical arguments.
Bro you’re 2100 GTFO of here.
I always WANT to use a pet as a MM but the incentivization is that they shoehorned a talent to make MM stronger. That’s why we HATE MM for that reason. They are ignoring the fact they created this issue so many expansions ago and ignored their own problems they created. In fact, it didn’t matter very much to have a pet as MM so long it didn’t involve more than 1 target while in a dungeon/raid but guess what? Almost always the case except for almost every boss but this is also a moot point because (Although for the better) removed Growl’s ability to taunt bosses in worst case situations.
They just need to find a way to revamp the inclusion of pets and a way to go about it without one. Never force us to choose because a talent is a straight buff in every case scenario.
Why not some kind of D3 demon hunter with super speed, lots of unique traps like Assassins in D2 and big AoE that favors more support class than ST
That would be a fun class
Same! I’m excited as well!
I’ve never RP’d in WoW, but I RP’d in two other games before I joined WoW. The thing that always amazed me about passionate RPers is that no simple game limitations ever got in the way of their fantasy construct. They’d just as soon RP in an open grove as the “Secret Society’s Meeting Hall” as find an empty building in town for the same RP theme (just a different location).
If you do NOT want a pet as MM and the eagle cannot be dismissed through some optional toggle, then I feel for you, but I don’t think true RPers are deterred by any game restrictions. If you want a pet as MM, you can RP the eagle as your pet or use the toggle to turn it off, switch to BM, use one of the available pets, and RP as a sentinel (which I guess is a MM spell set but has a pet?).
The real world isnt fair. Why do you think WoW should be?
Because its a videogame, not the real world?
Because we pay to play it and it is not the real world. It is where we go to get away from the real world.
You pay for the real world too. Whew maybe go outside and forget about WoW. Might be healthy for you. Sounds like you play til you disassociate.
Yet it exists in the real world.
ok? it doesn’t need to reflect the real world
you know the concept of fantasy, games and fiction right
What in the world even is this argument.
Fairness has nothing to do with the topic lmao.
Yes and in fantasy, games and fiction there are always rules or things that play out that are not fair. They are fantasies created by humans, who are not perfect and flawed. You kids really hyper focus instead of looking at the bigger picture. Youre never going to get a perfectly fair anything when it is a matter of opinion. If it doesnt go your way it will always be unfair. And when it does go your way then it is fair?
You have a split playerbase on the subject. This is a life aint fair sometimes example in action, but here are you 2 saying you pay for it to be fair. I pay for a lot of things and none of them are fair still lol. This is a matter of being real. You guys need breaks from the game if its this bad for you.
Nah, you gotta stop with that.
Things not going your way does not equate to an unfair process.
And why do you think these rules are there for? to make things fair
That exactly the argument im making. Just because he pays to play and didnt get what he wants doesnt make it unfair. Its just lige and sometimes you gotta suck it up and move on. Blizzard isnt listening to you people and that is apparent if youre upset about their changes.
