How does someone who is this nasty and dismissive of folks in the forum have green text? I mean, really? Why are you even HERE if most of us are so worthless?
I thought MVPs were supposed to be helpful and knowledgeable.
A post like this from an MVP invalidates the entire MVP system. It’s one thing to be overly positive…that’s understandable. It’s a whole uglier ball game to just name-call the people in the forum you disagree with.
Cmon now, salt is definitely not name-calling. Or Alliance has been name-calling Horde since AOO was introduced… and Horde toward Alliance before that heh.
Byuck has a point, there’s criticism aimed at improving things, and then there’s criticism aimed at demoralizing others. Prices go up for everything all the time. Subscription costs haven’t increased in 14 years, that is a testament against the “cash grab” rhetoric all over this thread. (Recent state-approved taxes on web-based payments are not Blizzard’s doing.)
Yes, I have a phone. In fact with my company phone I carry 2 of the damned things. But neither one has a single game on it, and they never will.
If they’re that interested in Asian mobile gaming as their future, perhaps Singapore, Hong Kong, or Shanghai would be a better site for future Blizzcons.
Hmm… I’m still salty about last year’s Virtual Ticket. The service was incredibly spotty, with video streams being put up late and often quite delayed from the actual event. The real kicker was that the three simultaneous concerts were NOT streamed, and could not be watched after the event.
There was zero communication about it, and I feel extremely ripped off not getting to see the other performances.
I have no problem with either frequency of complaints or faux truculence: It’s the utter immaturity and absolute scorn towards the player base i.e., the paying customer that has me all in a flutter. Flips hair and sips some soothing chai, for calming
I went the last two years. For me blizzcon is more about seeing the steamers and interacting with people.
Sadly though this year I will not be attending due to financials reasons and not enjoying blizzard products as much as I do. I was going to get a virtual ticket this year then I figured it wouldn’t be worth it since I don’t play WoW anymore.
I enjoy the Wowhead party a lot. Last year they had 4 computers on a stage where people could play a game of HOTS. My game was broadcast through the entire event and it felt great having that many people watch. Just happy we won the match.
Anyways there are more reasons to attend blizzcon then just for the announcements, to me its seeing the streamers, cosplayers, friends, play a few games that I thoroughly enjoy.
It will be hard for me make the decision if I want to go to anymore blizzcons. Personal and financial reasons. Attending these can be so expensive especially if you want the best experience.
No, Blizzard did, and then two weeks before Blizzcon when they realized how excited players were they started to downplay it, after the ticket sales. Don’t place the blame for their blunder on the players.
But yeah, maybe you’re right we should have known better than to trust Blizzard at all, ever. I don’t believe anything they say until I see it. If a developer came and told me the sky was blue I’d have to go look out the damn window.
Oh my gosh this is so true lately. Across the spectrum. Full stop. Now starting back up, roll that against literally everything Blizzard has said and promised leading up to and after the release of BfA.
Dev hubris is inconceivable lately. Even if they didn’t best my Spaniard and my Giant… or did… OR WHATEVER!!!
