So I have to ask… What could there possibly be to justify this event?
Warcraft 3 Reforged was probably the best announcement last year for anybody who doesn’t have a phone. Overwatch and HotS have been gutted of their development staff in favor of mobile “gaming,” and I sincerely doubt D4 is coming. Classic servers were announced long ago, and even if they go live after BlizzCon, it’s admittedly for a very niche demographic of the player base. Hypothetically 8.2/flying will have been released by the time BlizzCon rolls around, too.
All I can say is if they try to scam extra money for the virtual ticket again, I’ll just wait for its price to drop again, or just not buy it if it doesn’t. Guess we’ll see.

They don’t have to announce anything, really. Blizzcon is just a showcase to let the fans gather and socialize and see behind the scenes stuff. It’s good to see what they’re working on but the whole experience, even virtually, is just our weekend of Blizzing out.
VT is a cheap way to watch all the hoopla.

- You’ll Need the AXS Mobile App to Get Into the Show
To pick up your badge at registration this year, you’ll need to download the AXS Mobile App. The app displays a QR code (one code for all of your tickets), which changes at regular intervals to help guard against dupes and fraud. Because of that, we won’t be able to accept paper tickets, confirmation emails, or screenshots/photos of the QR code at BlizzCon registration.
After you buy your tickets, you should receive an email from AXS with instructions on how to download the app, or you can download it at any time for iPhone and Android.
If for some reason you find yourself at the show with a dead mobile device or some other unexpected issue preventing you from accessing the app, don’t worry. Just head to the Solutions Desk at registration and they’ll help you out.

I think either D4 or a remaster of D2. Honestly, a remastered D2 could be more enjoyable if D3 is any indication of D4.

Why do you need justification to hold an annual event? Wouldn’t you need justification to NOT have Blizzcon 2019?
I find it hard to believe the people that constantly rag on the game would spend IRL money to go to a Con and rag on the game there. Participation is optional. There are people that travel all over the world to go to it, let them have their fun.
Keep in mind there are many events that have nothing to do with game releases. The transmog competition seems to be well attended, there’s PvP competition, forums, live music…idk man. Even if you don’t think the virtual ticket is a good value its 1/20th the price of the trip out there. Do you not have children!?

I’m spoiled. They need to have a “mount” for me, otherwise I won’t buy the virtual ticket.
I saw no reason to buy it last time, for another Stormwind like tabard/flag or whatever.
Meanwhile, I would have dropped 60 bucks for a unique mount.

D3 expansion please. D4 will just be another game that the majority of you buy, get tired of after a month and complain on the forums that Blizzard disgraced the Diablo franchise and that you’ll never buy another Diablo game again.
