Well, still top MMO, I like how they redid Arathi Basin and Warsong battlegrounds, there should do this for ALL battlegrounds and arenas to make it updated across the board. This makes the game feel great a new. Also they should unload more Allied races, ( Thin Kultirans playable!) and take old zones and find a way to better the graphics and/or make them relevant along with of course new great content. WoW is a great game still, they just need to draw in more players which they can. Launch all this together at one patch or expansion and not little bit at a time and people will resubscribe, guaranteed.
I have a lot of salt and hate but I generally always get the virtual ticket. Here’s some more salt!
-Unhappy with last year’s VT. I don’t expect a mount every year but a themed murloc pet was tradition except for years that had a mount (and the bear had a murloc on it soooo)
-The VT stream was pretty garbage. Unable to rewind the Lindsay Sterling show or go back and watch the other streams later. *The music shows
So there’s that.
I am kind of ho-hum about D4. There has been way too many really great ARPG out since D3 that did it way better then D3. D4 would need to blow the roof off the entire genre to even match D3 I am thinking.
Good good.
This gnome gets it!
hopefully they’ll announce the reintroduction of loot boxes into HOTS.
I agree. I think Path of Exile is filling the niche people wanted D3 to be. And for D4 to really take over it would either need to do something completely outside the box no one is expecting (which always makes 1/2 the fanbase mad), or try to directly compete with PoE.
Grim Dawn is my jam, definitely recommend that one too.
They do record them and release it to watch again later.
I am currently playing PoE on my WoW down time. I like the game, but man that cash shop is soul crushing to even look at. $100 for an armor tmog? $40 for a pet? $50 for some wings?
Yeah, that is kind of why I stay away from PoE for now. It’s free yes and that is the upside, but all that stuff you can buy can be a bit overwhelming. lol
Yeah. its why I giggle when people say that WoW is moving towards a ftp cash shop game.
For a free game, PoE is fun. But man. That cash shop is crazy. And I don’t blame them. People eat that up.
What are the chances they’ll announce a new IP?
I woldn’t be able to find a source. Its been so long. But I BELIEVE in one of the conference calls? or something. They stated that they are working on at least 1 new IP. But take that with a grain of salt. I wouldn’t be able to find that source again.
wonder if they’ll announce Overwatch II for smartphones.
I’d say very low. With the focus on mobile gaming, they’ll likely want to use familar franchises to pull customers along to the new platform.
Just a heads up, I felt exactly the same way. Especially since I was using the cape with the Horde symbol on it for my current xmog at the time. What did I need another one for??
And so I guess Blizzard figured that out AND REMOVED IT.
Technically speaking, that cape is still in the game. It’s one of the guild capes. But now the only way to get it to display your faction symbol is to DROP YOUR GUILD. gee thanks, Blizzard.
The worst part was they didn’t make this change until after the VT was removed. It was like 3 months after the fact. I just logged in one day and my xmog was goofed up. It took some posting here to figure it out.
Stupid designs and decisions on top of stupider designs and decisions. It’s beyond ridiculous.
Overwatch was playable at BlizzCon when it was announced, just with a limited hero pool.
Not that that means the same has to be true for any other announcements, just saying.
Fair enough, I just couldnt remember if it was just that trailer with kids at the museum with tracer/winston and widowmaker/reaper was it on the initial release info.
Yeah if people are actually stupid. After last year i wouldn’t trust blizz on delivering
That plus the initial gameplay trailer jumping between heroes, I believe!
That was the one BlizzCon I’ve been able to attend, so I can pretty vividly remember a huge chunk of the opening ceremony crowd just getting up and leaving the room as soon as they announced it was playable haha.
FWIW, my thinking is along the same lines as yours though. All signs point to good things this year.
