Seriously guys, are we just gonna ignore the fact that Blizzard just came out their new story of A Moment in Verse? I mean…Ok, I don’t care about something like how the hell the helmet of the Lich king can open the way to Shadowland nor how the hell did they come out Black elves, which generally doesn’t make sense in terms of the lore telling anymore, but WTF? Lorthemar has a lover already, like it is just a moment ago in the Blood elves transmog questlines that they told the love story between him and Lady Liadrin, they even had a novel about it, and it’s only been 2 patches after, do they actually make everything they said a joke? I mean I understand its just a small part of the lore, and I don’t generally care about shipping but what really troubles me is the fact that Blizzard is making everything a joke, none of their storytelling is actually convincing and functional, everything they said made me feels like I’m reading an out of season April fool’s joke. In that case, WoW really is dying, because one of the main successes of warcraft series was their story. I strongly suggest Blizzard do not carry on this bullshlt. Like, for god sake Blizzard, could you hold some basic amount of responsibility for the world that you created?
I thought Lor’themar had feelings for Liadrin, but she didn’t notice or reciprocate. He must have moved on, I guess. Although, I did like Lor’themar x Liadrin better…
Well, she notices, in the official novel Blood of the Highborne, it told a complete story of the relationship between him and Liadrin. However, somehow Lorthemar would not go further because he wanted to put his attention in rebuilding the Silvermoon if I remember correctly. But its confirmed that they both love each other.
Title is misleading. OP is upset Lor’themar already had a lover and Blizzard went and paired him with someone else.
I don’t think they pay attention that much all the time. Which can put a damper on things.
I thought Liadrin and Lor’themar made an alright little couple. I think they are both a little bit boring but them being an item made complete sense as they went through a lot together.
Example; Blood of the Highborne. She was there when Lor’themar lost his eye. That’s a pretty traumatic thing. Through that whole event her faith was wavering also. Which came full force after what happened at the Sunwell. That’s what I mean they would have a strong foundation.
I enjoyed Blood of the Highborne immensely. I really liked what they did with Zul’jin. Also you get the whole Sunwell incident with even a little shout out to invincible.
I dislike Lady Liadrin a lot. Lor’themar was just kinda mediocre. Anyways I really enjoyed Thalyssra. As I loved Suramar quite a lot. I thought she was off to a great start. I was a little disgruntled on hearing the pairing initially. One, I think she didn’t need to hop into a relationship right away. Two, I was hoping it would be someone besides Lor’themar.
I was half teasing but half serious about having her hook up with Kalec. As Blizzard threw away Kalec x Jaina which was in several books and to be honest I thought it was one of the better couples written. The amount of support they gave each other was beautiful. That’s just my opinion.
So OP it wasn’t just Lor’themer x Liadrin, they did it with Kalec x Jaina. Anyways I am digressing…
So I thought Kalec x Thalyssra would’ve been great. As Kalec is prone to magic girls. (Surprisingly hasn’t hooked up with an Elf yet…) Thalyssra getting to take off with a dragon stud. Anyways it didn’t happen and we got this pairing…
On the positive note like I said earlier I will look forward to the fanart. I found a couple earlier, overtime it will probably gain more momentum. So that will be overall really cute. I just can’t possibly say no to more WoW hookups or typing about them. 
Blizzard has never in their entire history, barring -maybe- Starcraft 1, been capable of good storytelling. Certainly not for WoW. Not sure why some people are taking this long to realize it.
Idk about you but the Lick King already sounds like a better character than everything they have in Shadowlands

Blizzard storytelling suffers from the same issue with Game of Thrones TV show. You have too many cooks in the kitchen.
Blizzard has cycled through plenty of writers and each has their own idea about what characters should do. I mean we even see this on the forums how players are divided how characters should act.
