Just because they haven’t officially announced a new game title doesn’t mean they haven’t stated they are working on new games.
And I am fairly sure its expected that there are no new games to be released in 2019.
The rumors about Titan started 5 years ahead of its cancellation. It took 18 months to become Overwatch and that was just the PVP part of the game.
I am sure they are working hard but not producing product is hurting their bottom line.
Random question, when is Diablo Immortal coming out, and how much spare data do you need on your own, or is all you need an internet connection on your android phone to play?
Sure. No games coming out in a calendar year definitely hurts their bottom line for that year. Its one of the reasons the downsizing occurred.
One could argue things should have been timed better, and I agree.
I am only responding to the “Nothing of substance is in the pipeline” type quotes which imply nothing is being worked on.

Are you really so simple that you can’t understand nuance? Because there is a BIG difference between hating something in total versus being upset that it isn’t better.
What is it with all the dorks who say “love it or leave it” about lots of things as if there is ONLY unquestioning adoration OR total hatred. Get a clue!

Why is it hard to understand that people who complain about mosquitoes don’t hate summer and wish it would snow? And why is it hard to understand that people who complain about various aspects of WoW but still play are EXACTLY the same?
As for those who predict financial disaster for Blizzard: They want something to make the developers do better, and since clearly the developers don’t listen to players (even in beta), they want shareholders to make Blizzard do better. This is not a complicated concept to understand.

You have a few things at play here. The people who subscribed for the chance at beta did not actually play the game, people who did the 6 month sub. deal and then stopped playing because they were bored, and players who did not have anything to do in the game, so they started playing other games.
All of these will affect the MAUs. So subs went up and MAUs did not. Q3, both will go up as people try classic. Q4 will be the quarter to really watch for there won’t be any skewed numbers.

I just want to commend the previous posters for a pretty nuanced and mature thread. This thread stands head and shoulders above most GD threads.
That’s what I’m fully expecting, a wild Q3 and a comparatively tame Q4. Though, as for the 6 month mount people, I figured most of those who subbed for it and are gone now were probably Q1 casualties (in the mammoth 8% of total player base departure from Blizzard as a whole), though there are probably a couple who vanished after that point as well.

No it’s not, blizzard have a good marketing team and more than likely have targeted the game around people who will spend the most money in the in game shop

Now that the world absolutely crushed their souls with negative feedback on what had to be one of the biggest blundered announcements in gaming history its back on.
The problem is Diablo IV is rumored to being overly rushed
How is BFA winning, it’s the lowest subs/players WOW has ever had and the lowest critic rating for a Warcraft related video game.
I really hope 9.0 doesn’t have BFA’s horrific issues.
