Blizzard you're doing fine. There's nothing wrong with loot

I wouldn’t say it’s the best it’s ever been, but it’s a whole lot better than it has been in the past few expansions.

I don’t give a flying footnote about BiS.

I just want SOMETHING and the new lower loot rules have given me a whole lot of nothing regardless of how many hours of work I put into it.

Legion was good. Better than what ive seen so far in SLands.

Yes this is called RNG, something this game has had for a very long time. This isn’t a bad thing when you have the vault, you’ll get loot regardless.

Legion was good, but I strongly disagree that it was better.

This.

Is.

Not.

An.

Excuse.

Just because something has sucked in the past does not mean it should suck now and always suck till the end of time.

Things are allowed to improve. That’s a thing that happens sometimes.

BFA and Shadowlands just feel like worse extensions of the Legion systems.

You’re too used to getting titanforging, warforging, random stats you don’t need, and gear without sockets. We’re done with that. All the randomness is gone now and we get less gear because of it. It’s back to where it should be.

Shadowlands has objectively made the game really good, and according to you this expansion has improved on every single feature in the game including it’s older version of showering loot on you. I feel like you just haven’t had a good run with RNG so you seem to think it’s a bad system.

Its your definition. Some of us came from games far harder than WoW over the years so for us watching people have fits about an expansion that’s been out three weeks, that isn’t that difficult, makes no sense.

100% this.

Who the hell do you think you are where you can just come in and say “wow should change” after 16 years of it being a certain way. There isn’t anything wrong with the formula you just don’t like it. That’s ok you’re allowed to like different things. But go play a different game if you don’t like it. Don’t try and change our game. There’s plenty of other loot piñata games out there.

You’re still thinking that something has to be bad.

Nothing actually has to be bad. We are allowed to get rid of bad things while not adding new bad things to replace them.

We could just have good things.

The fact that whether or not my time means something is determined entirely at random is a bad system regardless of how much loot I get.

No one should be putting hours of work into something and getting nothing out of it, regardless of who specifically is the one getting the short end of the stick.

Phlynch. It says my name right there.

Can you not read?

People can do whatever they want with their time just the same way you feel like you have to put “hours of work” into WoW, I don’t understand why you can’t just take a break or find a new game if you don’t like RNG loot mechanics.

More loot is bad. You can’t shower people with loot and expect them to feel like they earned it and want to keep playing. It’s this kind of thinking that lead to the atrocity that is leveling nowadays, raid finder, and lfg.

Being rewarded for your efforts is not bad, it’s the entire basis of civilized society.

Tbh i miss my titanforged trinkets. Those where a good way to have trinkets i like and rings that i like. Still usable on new content.

I qould like that wow had more permanency on loot, and to make viable doing the HUGE amount of old content

You’re one of those “give me a participation trophy for my efforts” kind of guy aren’t you?

It was supposed to stay that way until reset. I assume they already applied the nerf?

I really hate to break it to you, but there is in fact a middle ground between getting a prize just for showing up and being punched in the face and told you’re lucky you didn’t get punched in the groin instead.
