How do you know it’s the loot system, do you have access to some information like a survey as to why people returned, or maybe it’s the new expansion, people always come back for a new expansion. The true story will be how many have stuck around after several months.

The great vault in itself is RNG. It’s a pool of 60+ items just from dungeons alone. It’s nearly impossible to target gear through the feature.

I’m just saying as of now more people play WoW than WoTLK and not all those millions are on the forums complaining, it must mean they don’t mind the changes.
I agree, you’d get badges from doing Heroics and Mythics and could get decent ilevel pieces via a weekly badge cap. This would be good because it keeps the ilevel normalized still and doesn’t give us inflated warforged or titanforged pieces as good as Heroic/Mythic raid gear. It’s basically just a slight gap closer and nothing more.
i’d say it’d be fine to get them from Mythic plus they just need to cap the amount you get per week
