Blizzard you have a huge botting problem in your game, and not just farmers

Some were. But some were caught up in a broad bot sweep that ended up catching and banning innocent players. That’s how these bot sweeps work. It’s really expensive to follow up on individual reports. It’s complex programming and possibly an invasion of your privacy to be scanning your computer. It’s cheap and easy to choose criteria like “does this player do competitive content?” And just permaban if the answer is “no”.

While it bothers you knowing there are bots, the fact is that not only does Blizzard make money off the bot subscriptions and game purchase, they also have the incentive of bots nerfing mat costs, which means gatherers will be unable to grind enough gold to support mandatory in-game purchases that are required to do their content. Botting is great for token sales.

Watch the video… it’s pretty obvious lol

If it’s a troll they are very very very well organized.

That would be the point of a troll. To cause anger and to feed them. A bad troll can be ID very fast. The good ones almost never get called out for being ones.

Yeah but these are bots so.

Again… watch the vid lol

I saw no hard facts from the side of someone using a bot program. Or even friending them to get a confession.

They wouldn’t do that… But tbh I got videos mixed up and thought this was the classic bot video not the supatease one.

But it’s still pretty obvious they are doing something and it’s all kinds of wonky. But best to be knowledgeable of it send it to hacks@blizzard.com and go from there.

Using that criteria would result in no bot ever being actioned.

I use to to do that in games pre WoW. Would make a alt account and befriend a suspected cheater. Then record all audio and screenshots of them in text admitting to guilt. Some game forums back then had a official name and shame wall where you could post it. Worked well.

Oh that would be super fun around here LOL

Worked better then some anticheat tools. As the admins would leave the posts up permanently. You tend not to cheat when you know even your other cheater friends one day could get pissed at you and rat you out. In the end one game I played the last cheater I remember had zero friends and just gave up on playing. Hell I think years later they made a forum post about how much of a dick they were and tried to ask forgiveness.

okay well the bot and all their alts are on the video, get to work and help us!

F that. I put in my years of service even here lol. What we need is a Kitboga for finding WoW bot makers and users.

DUDE TRUE, like no joke that is semi genius. I would watch the hell out of that content… that is the hero we need right now.

This is why I gave up and won’t play rated pvp or m+ and raids

The bot users are completely out of control

There is no point in Me not reporting this stuff since my windows program keeps getting attacked through the WMI program and even though windows puts in safeguards , they just push a windows end of life program from windows 7 through and I have to reload windows 10 if i ever want to update again.

But i bite the leather bit and press onward, I am not ranting.

There are 3 areas in Azure span that are being farmed hardcore on lightninghoof server. The gorlocs by the beach, the non elite gnolls north of Breckenridge Hollow , and the elementals by Camp antonidas.
And i do report them , but it seems like maybe a day passes and they are BACK nonplussed.
Frankly I dont care what they do until one of thier " programmers" goes after my computer when i am NOT doing anything untoward to them, Then i get Uber angry and post in the forum.
I endure more abuse than I let on playing wow and still love the game, don’t get me wrong.

If Blizzard could solve this they would have already. They’re in way over their heads… the botters won.

For all the botting posts its baffling they haven’t at least tried to do something yet.

They don’t care anymore, all the focus is on the next thing coming up and once its released it might as well go straight in the trash bin, all the focus has shifted to the next shiny thing with the current game left to die.

You can see it with the lack of community interaction, even on the new council thing they added and ignored.
No bug fixes.
No major issues being looked into.
The balance patches might as well be done by some random number generator with how much sense they make.

Why would they care? They can fire all the developers and release whatever broken rubbish they want and people still pay for it. There isn’t a fix for it either, if people stop playing/paying then it’s still just going to be the players who get blamed.

Cheating and botting is only going to get worse from here on out. And i am not just talking about WoW. There is some crazy tech out there, or getting released soon. Like AI in your monitor and keyboard. Screenscanners that aren’t even conected to your PC, and thus completely undetectable. Works on console too.

Makes you wonder if there is a future for competitive multiplayer games.
