Uh, 235 is the cap. You couldn’t have kept going even if you wanted to.
I mean, I didn’t do my AOE or tank legendary to 235 afterwards. I stopped at my first 235 for raid progression and that’s it.

Legendaries really need upgrades rather than having to get an entire new base to upgrade it. just make the upgrade cost the material difference between the legendary’s level.
Yeah I think this is insidious.
The legendary literally doesn’t do the very thing everyone crafted it for.

this was their brilliant idea to “save” professions. it used to be you could max xyz soul bound items that were normal/heroic raid level. plus some random combat buff. but people cried about “forced” around the time they figured out what happened when you paired bs with jc and well… the rest is history.

That’s why they waited for a season level patch, so you’d have ample warning and enough time to prepare.
They COULD have done it in hotfixes or even 9.0.5, but they said they wouldn’t specifically to help solve this issue.
Balance is never going to be perfect, but they are obviously going to try.
And that is exactly what they would be attempting to do by retuning certain options.
it shouldn’t be achieved by nerfing a gold sink into the ground, buff other legendaries you can’t ruin the current ones because they are a gold sink
Not to mention the fact that it was the worst legendary for dps purposes but some people liked it for the utility it provided, now it no longer even has the utility it once had. It’s not really a case of something being slightly better or slightly worse, i simply would never have crafted it if i knew what it was going to become lol

You can’t just buff 15 things to balance 16 things.
Calling it a gold sink is irrelevant though.
There are way too many factors to be considered there for that to be on their minds.
even if they upped the drop rates by a bazillion percent yall will never get that gold back. the way it was handled, specifically for leather and mail… they intentionally knee capped the mats due to bots. and screwed: monk, dh, rogue,druid, shaman, and hunter in the process.

dp you sell mythic+ or aotc carries? cuz most people don’t. and aren’t ah barons otherwise. most people do not have the gold to get 3987593485 leggos to max rank for lols. you make a lot of valid points sometimes but this is a “let them eat cake” thing on your end.

They really do not cost much at all honestly.
That’s the problem. Some realms they will be extremely cheap compared to others, so its not something Blizzard can be concerned with.

you know how much you spend in “white” mats to level up your legendary patterns to max level, that alone makes it very expensive, i guess your wow gold is all relative, guess i should’ve been an oil baron like Metrohaha

This whole discussion is just silly honestly.
If you honestly expected to only ever wear a single legendary for the entire expansion, then you will have to reconcile that yourself.
My goals have been crafting every single one my spec can use from day one, partially because of the balancing effort.
Ya, that’s the thing you are missing. If you actually took the profession and made them yourself, you would make your money back.

I am easily UP gold since I made all mine, because I would sell the other 14 I didn’t want on the way.
