Blizzard you can't just nerf legendaries into the ground

Do you realize how ultimately frustrating it is that players have to spend atleast 60k for a legendary from 190-235? You’ve moved legendary’s over to crafting because you are too lazy to make it useful outside of this giant powerspike. And I really hope as a player that you enjoy that legendary a lot because blizzard has every right to nerf it into the ground at any point and that gold sink that you put into that legendary and not to mention the time spent in choregast and having to reinvent the wheel, becoming all undone. You need to fix these legendaries so that they are decently balance within eachother so you can make meaningful decisions . Instead we live in a weird prison where all this work you spent can be easily crashed into the ground. Blizzard balance team you have failed to address real concerns and you should feel bad.

My rank 2 cost 120k.

I will not craft my first one over again if it is nerfed. I will not waste gold on such a thing. I agree that it was poor design. I cannot even change missives, which I think should be an option for Soul Ash.

…is to run MC for the two bindings and the eye?

In SL, you choose the Legendary you want to use, and add custom stats…
You get money by doing things in GoldShire and Voilà!

They once nerfed my class that i liked by a whole 5%. Literally thousands of hours wasted. This is an actual act of abuse.

yeah i tried not to say too high because clothies literally pay pennies on the dollar and my hunter and shaman are just so incredibly high priced

Right maybe hire a lawyer and sue blizzard then. Love to see how that goes.

I find it’d be much more productive for me and everyone else to hold a grudge about it and post about it on here, reddit, underwater basketweaving forums, ect until the heat death of the universe.

Yes and there is a huge gold sink required into making these. Hand of Rag has no real meta use, and it isnt 100% required that everyone has a thunderfury in your raid. If you try to raid in retail or do mythic plus you aren’t going to get into any reasonable groups without spending your gold on these shenanigans.

Its not about “im gonna sue” thats rediculous. Its about customer retention. You cant just blow up a spec or class or lego etc and expect your customer base to put up with that. The time that is put into a toon is high for some. Lots of hours spent building your gear, getting good at the spec etc. Then bliz just nukes it and makes it painful to play.

You would think with subs down over 40% over and over again every expac, they would somehow learn to keep customers better. Honestly dont understand how bliz works as their decisions often make little to no sense.

ActiBlizz would probably lose if the suit was in California, ya know, where they let violent criminals sue people for defending themselves.

I leveled from 1 to 4 and i don’t do stuff outside heroic dungeons, LFR and random bg.
I was broke after… but at least i maxed my legendary! (it can be done by every players in-game, not gated by raid groups/guild/etc.)

Meh, don’t care. It gives me have a reason to run torghast again for more than just a fun, time killing activity. It also lets me try out a new playstyle potentially. I agree the gold cost is a bit steep, kinda saw that happening as soon as it was announced you’d need player made materials. But I mean who cares? Did you really want to just wear the same legendary all expansion?

no disrespect, but you’re a clothy so I dont expect you to fully understand. its not that I want to wear the same legendary the whole game, its that I sink tons of money into legendaries that are “good” and then they flip the script and I have to spend tons of money again on different legendaries. This game is starting to feel like a pay to win phone game. I have friends that won’t upgrade legendaries to max level because they simply don’t have the gold required to just dump completely into that.

This.

The original form of Legendary items being so rare and hard to come by, despite their power, meant that no one expected you to have them. Even with a gold cost for mats, it was something you did because you wanted the item for it’s own sake. No one was denying you a raid because you didn’t have a legendary up until, maybe, MoP, and even then the actual relevant raids no one meaningfully argued about it.

Now? Legendary items are almost essential to gameplay. Every class has a whole bunch, and depending on the way you want to play, you’ll need at least 3 and perhaps quite a few more if you like changing what you’re doing and what spec you’re playing more often than every few months. Not having the right items for the the content/spec will potentially get you booted or denied.

It’s a totally different beast, and honestly the gold cost attachment is stupid. Is gold “easy” to come by? Sure, but I have no reason to do WQs on my main. Callings are just a mandatory task that I’d have to do if I felt like upgrading more than the one Leggo.

So I have the one Leggo. Ain’t nobody got time fo’ dat.

My favorite legendary wasn’t nerfed into the ground, it was completely changed, it no longer even does the thing that it originally did :woman_facepalming:

…oh dear

Also, this is precicely why I haven’t bothered with a leggo this xpac, I knew blizzard would pull something like this, and because we have to use our hard earned gold I presumed it is probably smarted to sit it out and wait.
Of course I understand that isn’t possible for everyone especially those needing to do endgame content like raiding and M+.
Blizz really need to stop pulling things like this.
Leggos coming out of emissaries was a much better plan, and that was RNG and terrible, so that’s saying something :joy:
