Bottom DPS on top of having to deal with tons of up close mechanics while range can sit back and spam a couple buttons to top the charts. It’s not even close. Only need to bring 1 so they can expose armor.
Just because it’s classic doesnt mean you can;t “fix” them.
They are not gonna do any class balancing in TBC, or at least shouldn’t.
Range dps have pretty much always had an advantage in PvE, varies depending on fight ofc

Warrior isn’t great either, but I can shine and top meters in cleave scenarios much like a Rogue could do with flurry or something along those lines. You can also lock certain targets down in tougher trash pulls etc.
It’s a cool thing anyways to push through a phase that’s tougher for your class and reap the rewards later when weapon scaling really kicks in like T6 and stuff. Just enjoy it.
yup, rogues bring a lot of utility with kick and kidney shot. they aren’t useless, and their DPS can be quite good if you’re geared and have consumables. haste potions make a big difference.
You should also concern yourself with how your dmg compares against other rogues, not warlocks, hunters, or arcane mages
That’s why WCL compares you against other people of your own spec, and not just as a “dps”
What exactly do they prove otherwise about what i just posted? when arguing a point try to link things up with evidence and such. usually helps a point.

Man, who woulda thought that in a raid where you can aoe 99% of the time mages and warlocks would top overall damage. Rogues aren’t top dps in tbc, just like warlocks and hunters werent top dps in vanilla. Someone has to be at the bottom.

Looking at 25man (Mag fight) instead of kara, I see the first rogue (at 491) before I see the first shaman.
Why do people use the upper echelons to compare what their class is doing? of course an arcane mage is going to do lots of damage when the fight lasts 30 seconds. Stop using warcraftlogs to argue stupid crap. Rogues are not the worst dps, they’re just melee. You want to have a rogue because when warglaives come out theyre going to be destroying meters.

If you cant compete on rogue its a you problem and not the class. Stop trying to compare yourself to a hero class like warlocks.
