Blizzard... Ya Need to Put Out a Statement

It’s quite simple, really… ya need to re-set expectations with your player base. A statement is much needed, stating:

  1. why all the downtime
  2. how many more steps are involved to get the servers back up and running on a 6day 23hr basis
  3. what is being done to prevent such disruptions in the future
  4. (and my advice) that future patches could be delayed in order to prevent such disruptions going forward until the release of the next expansion

TIA

The only shame here is how you crafted your reply.

Again, quite obvious something’s wrong and it’s causing a lot of disruption.

Clearly something is wrong and it is indeed causing a disruption, I think they are aware of that.

You’re just making more noise in a situation that is already complex, and that seems like a good idea to you? I don’t.

HAHA!

Nothing wrong with good customer service and being transparent with your subscribers.

Blizzard gets away with way too much because of people like this guy…

If I’ve learned anything from online personalities, it’s that making statements is always a bad idea. You stay quiet and give it time.

That’s exactly what Blizzard should do. Pretend it’s business as usual until they internally sort this out.

I’m glad I can be your scapegoat but the truth is, they get away with it because people won’t quit when they are impacted.

Nothing I say has any bearing of this matter, but you can blame me all day long if it helps you get through the day. I honestly couldn’t care less.

Yea that worked great for Wizards of the Coast and the OGL fiasco… Staying quiet is not always the best recourse. They did a full reversal and saved their brand.

Not saying this is up to that level, I’m just saying your “always a bad idea” statement is wrong.

Good companies communicate.

Your analogy game needs a lot of work. Use this downtime to study.

You’re being a cynic… and given the state of “reality” I dont blame ya.

Personally I’d have rather played the game during the time I had to play the game over the last week than have pink capes and a flail mog.

It’s not an analogy. It’s your logic presented in the most naked terms

No one wants you here

Folks like you are what’s wrong with the community. What other toxic behavior do you engage in?

Let me guess. You think if someone invests in a company, they don’t deserve answers as to why the product they have sunk money into is flailing?

Person with a Private profile and acts like a complete jerk. Lmao typical. Run rabbit, run.

Yeah no they don’t. They don’t have to tell you anything. They don’t even have to tell you that they’re taking the servers down. Is it good customer service for them to tell you, yes… but they don’t have to…

Is the a “realist” statement for the sake of saying “we’re all dogs, accept it” or a “realist” statement for the sake of saying “…sigh, I agree that’s what would happen in a decent world, but we dont live in that world”?

Just curious - When you forum trolls put “HEY BLIZZARD” in your title…do you really expect a response or are you just anger-mode typing to make yourselves feel empowered?

I’m not running boy, here I am. What do you want to know?

Being a paying customer doesn’t make you an investor. This is a forum for the game of WoW, if you want to go to an investment forum and ask for answers I think that would be a great idea.

As a customer you aren’t deserving of anything other than the ability to purchase their product. Same for me. If I am unhappy I know where the door is.

A restaurant doesn’t owe you an explanation if they source their beef from another location, you can just choose to not buy it. If you are in investor in their stock, you get a statement every year that you can ask these questions. It comes in the mail and you can vote on board members etc. too.

To lop all disagreements as investors is dishonest and trying to make it like this is a simple inquiry is also bogus. This is a person complaining about not being able to play a game, check your emotions at the door and learn to use objective facts when discussing.

Did they? For my friend group at least, unburning that bridge is gonna be a long uphill climb. That said…

I don’t disagree with this. I’d at least like to see more of the kind of post-issue cause analysis messages that they put out after the launch issues.

Cringe example. You should feel bad for typing that.
