this content is half cooked.
some of the voice lines don’t work in the pre-expansion event.
the radiant echoes event doesn’t work.
the reclaiming of gilneas also felt like you were just phoning it in, it could have been so much more
whatever happened to releasing things ‘when it’s done’?

This expansion is feeling more and more like two buggy-as-crap .1 patches smooshed together and shoved out the door.

I admit I thought y’all were being doom and gloomers. But the event convinced me. TWW might be a bad expansion.

They threw out the “when it is done” philosophy a long time go. Wrath or Cataclysm era.
Now it is “release and patch later”.

I do remember when they would say she it’s done it’s done. They also used to make sure everything was done in the name of fun, even the mouse pointer and how it moved.

When did that actually happen
WOTLK, Cata and MoP were pretty smooth releases.
Didn’t WotLK have like 2 days of maintenance at one point. And the trial of the crusader patch have issues

Was never a thing in the first place.
Silithus and Winterspring were completely empty at launch IIRC.
I said at release and no, it was a good release. I also don’t recall an issue with TOTC besides being extremely easy. I am pretty sure I cleared it the day of release.
I think it’s All had issues, some more so than others but apparently this, this time from the beta forum complaints and now general discussion complaints, make it seem a lot worse.
Sure. But we haven’t had the TWW release either.
When profits exceeded the speed of light
Remember, they didn’t plan for the wild success that it had early on. And old Blizz had the magic touch.
They could have turned Atari ET into a gold mine

The voice acting lines all work, you just need to restart the game.
Also, just throwing this out there, but as Blizzard insiders have said multiple times: “When it’s ready.” and “Blizzard quality.” were excuses used so the developers could faff around on small things and not release content when it actually was ready.
“when its done” days are long gone. Now its “put it out, we’ll fix it on the fly”
I know exactly why, its because this type of deving has infested literally every aspect of gaming, and WE THE PLAYERS TAKE IT.
Do you see how many games there are on steam right now that people buy, knowing full well its in Early Access, and knowing full well the dev can just up and quit at any time?
We the players have allowed this culture of laziness and half-baked releases. The devs just take advantage of it.
There has not been a SINGLE, and I do mean a SINGLE game released in the past ten years that worked out of the box. Every single ONE, from the indies to the Triple AAA, have released with massive bugs that require Day One patches. No game has worked day one in more than a decade.
And we let it happen.

So was Legion, BfA and even SLs. WoD was the last expansion that had a bad launch. Although DF (at least for Alliance side) had a semi bad one. For Alliance the boat was broke (so we couldn’t even start the new expansion) and wasn’t fixed until the next day whereas for Horde they got it fixed that day of course.

I wouldn’t say half cooked. It needs a little help, yeah. But it’s salvagable.
Patience!

Legion launch wasn’t playable. It was heavily DDOSed for 2 weeks.
