Blizzard WE ASKED for Mage Tower Weapons

It’s a legitimate question lol. You’re saying you’d quit if you’re exclusive items stopped being exclusive.

A company that’s been in business for over 17 years is allowed to change their stance on things lol

I said I’d quit if they broke their word. They can technically do anything they want, but they didn’t bring the skins back precisely because it would be a bad business move. The request was already shot down; not sure why people can’t let it go.

Uh no?

lol what? they’re recolors too. the sets are from legion, not from TBC.

Likely because they already had it in their back pocket from legion, Mage Tower is a reoccurring event, maybe we’ll see more in the future.

Um, 9.2 isnt out.

Having said that, this is what the mage tower weapon looks like with the warrior armor set. Looks pretty sweet.

You mean like every thing else that Blizzard nerfs due to bad choices?

How many people blasted money on tokens to make a MT TW set only for Blizzard to go and nerf half the stuff a week after live release?

This happens all the time. Is it right? No, but it does happen and is unfortunately expected in this game at this point.

Blizz never said they wouldn’t nerf TW gear/gems.

Let’s not go down the “they said it was a limited time!” rabbit hole as well. Blizzard consistently reintroduces “limited time” items on the BMAH.

It also can’t be ok for Blizzard to consistently nerf things that people spend real money on, and then say that it’s fine since “they never said they wouldn’t.”

Which items? The tier 3 set was never advertised as limited time for example. Although I think you might have a point with the Brutosaur.

Core Hound from 2014 is a great example to start with.

“These events and rewards will only be available for a limited time,”

Introduce recolor of those weapons.

It’s an example. I don’t agree with them breaking their word on anything. Nor do I think that bringing up examples of them breaking their word in the past justifies them continuing to do so.

No, it’s just that you think them breaking their word on those things in the past is fine, but if they change their mind regarding the hill you choose to die on, that’s the final straw for you.

I don’t actually think it’s fine. It’s dumb. But that post he linked just looks like some casual community relations post with the “limited time” almost being like fine print. Not all lies are equally bad.

I personally see nothing wrong with them going back on their word (they do this quite often anyways) if it means making rewards and content more accessible to the player base, both veterans and new players.

The new player experience alone can and does get royally trashed when a newbie sees something they want and later finds out they can’t get it because they weren’t around for a limited time period. Then they go try another game that doesn’t yeet things from existence for eternity and stick with that game.

The “us vs them” mentality this community has with content does a great job at fracturing the player base, and we have daddy Ion the FOMO Master himself to thank for this.

I like the DK one the more I see myself with it on but you just can’t see it on the forums with my Apocalypse in the way >:( but most seem okay just wish the warrior one had a blue/purple tint instead of red

You are free to make a stand against Blizzard and quit the game if it bothers you so much. Something tells me you don’t possess that conviction though.

Or I can continue pushing for change. What does your comment have to do with the subject anyways? If people quit and never returned just because of something they dislike with the game…how many players do you think would still be around?

Also “Blizzard Entertainment” was the author of that announcement. Is that not their word regardless of your perception on what it was supposed to be?

Exclusivity is a nice thing! I would be mad if they allowed players to get the Pandaria challenge mode sets.

The only thing Blizzard responds to is money. As I said, the precise reason why they chose not to bring the skins back is because they thought it would be a bad business move. Complaining on these forums ad nauseum while continuing to give them money isn’t going to change anything. They already put their foot down anyway. You came, you complained, you lost. Your time and effort would be better spent fighting a different battle.

Nah, I’ll keep bringing it up. Nice try at trying to demoralize the other side though.

In the meantime I’ll keep giving you examples of Blizzard “going back on their word”.
