How does a class that allows mech piloting, robotic summons, and the ability to create inventions not feel unique?
All of these sound relatively cool except artificer and tinker. Sorry, not sorry. Tinker is a stupid idea.
The classes I want the most come from Warcraft III, so Necromancer, Tinkerer and Spell Breaker. Then we can start thinking about new stuff.
Itâs different. But how will it work in a WoW setting?
I think a lot of these are calls to change the game to fit in the new abstract idea, rather than fitting in the new idea into the existing and concrete constraints and strengths of the game.
Mech suit: Toggle just like Bear Form for tanking, make it a cooldown like old school Demo metamorphosis for DPS. Should also double as their travel forms; Ex. Mech suit transforms into a plane or a car.
Inventions: Make it mechanically work like Hearthstoneâs cards that create unique spell effects: Offer three steps with 6 options each, and each choice creates a unique effect. You have limited options but the illusion of randomness.
Robotic summons: Upgradeable turrets like in HotS, and Pocket Factory which is a device that produces robots. When they expire they leave behind scrap that the Tinker can use to reduce cooldown and cost.
That sounds pretty nice overall
I would love to see a class that is magic, dawns cloth, has a tank spec, ranged spec, and melee spec. Healer spec would be cool but not necessary. Would love to have a class that does all 4 that isnât a druid. I would absolutely love a Mage tank that doesnât do some weird blood sucking stuff. Just straight up spells. Loved the frost DK tank back when they were a thing!
Like Mesmer from GW2, they are a hybrid 2hander sword spellcaster.
I think bard should be a basic profession. Like giving the players the option to learn to play music would be so sick.
Lore changes
If this survey is/was real:
- Wish I had gotten it
- The only class or spec mentioned that interests me would be: Battlemage, Spellbreaker, Necromancer, and maybe Astrologian.

Kupaianaha!!
Anything offical from Blizzard here on the US forums comes across in English. Which leads me to believe that since there has not been any official blue text post about such a survey that ive seen Iʻm inclinded to believe this is some made up post.
If it were official, genuine and intended for the US forums I believe it would not need to be translated.
Also as a dual language speaker:
i believe you meant âCanÊ»tâ beacuse no. This rarely works out.
For the love of god please add gunner or gunslinger!!!
For those wanting a Bard, frankly I donât see that very fitting in the Warcraft universe.
However, if you really want one, then the best case I can see it fitting is as a hero path for Priests.
Priests already have song type spells in Divine Hymm and Hymm of Hope. You even see musical notes in the visual of the channel when going off.
So it stands to reason that it would be regulated to a Hero Path for Priests which since Priest has been my primary class since Vanilla Beta, I really donât want to see because we already have 2 support like specs and would like to stop giving reasons to add more support style gameplay within the Priest class.
Why not?
Are we under an assumption that WoW is a musicless world?
YepâŠitâs one thing if people are actually playing high end content and theyâre like âmy damage is sufferingâ. But theyâre not. Theyâre looking at charts that someone else made and whining about classes that they donât even play, while seemingly thinking the game is just a spreadsheet.
There isnât going to be a blue post about a survey that they told people to NOT post or talk about, in the survey itself. We got a German leak, because someone that took the survey in German leaked it. If someone in the US had leaked it it wouldâve been in English. And yes, this survey went out to people. I got it.
I would rather have a fourth spec for all classes. Druid already has a fourth spec so thatâs one down 12 to go.
Been wanting bard for a long time. Make it happen Blizz! Close follow up would be the witch, since Drustvar would love to have a class or spec with those spell effects. Necromancer sounds really cool as well.
Beautiful thing is some of the ideas could be fourth specs or even hero talents.
With Druid having 4 specs, they designed the Hero Path talents specifically in a way where Feral and Balance have nothing connecting them and Guardian and Restoration also have nothing connecting them.
So I would find it very silly to break all that work done with the other classes in which specs connect to which specs when it comes to Hero Path sharing.
I find it extremely more likely they will just add additional hero paths that can cross between the entire class or be made specifically for a single spec or even cross between multiple classes like maybe Restoration Shaman and Druid or a Fel inspired one between Demon Hunter and Warlock etc.
They basically practically designed the Hero Path system with horizontal progression in mind as you can easily just do a quest or level up and unlock a new Hero Path option each expansion which allows for updated new gameplay options without the burden of incorporating it on top of everything you have now thus creating increased strain when it comes to rebalancing everything. Where as a choice for a Hero Path will force you to leave one for the other meaning you have more choice but you donât get to keep everything prior for the new stuff yet you can always go back to what you like most.
