Blizzard stop firing your employees please

Goodnight all have a pleasant day/night.

Goodnight :kissing_heart:

I’m not arguing what the game is to you personally. I cant do that.

Oh well in that case, good riddance then, I hate e-sports.

Layoffs are unfortunately very common, especially in the gaming world. And not very indicative of how the game is doing. Especially when the layoffs don’t involve developers of the game.

Yeah the people that need a wage most go first to give those Dev’s a pay raise at the end of the year thats how the world works today, sack those in need to prop up those that don’t need. Don’t matter the game is in a shambles.

Do you have a link to something about it?

Oh… I thought we were talking about something new happening.

Nope, just the old boring news. People are mad about SL delay and it must be because Blizzard fired people, never mind that they increased the number of developers.

Sadly every company does it. They also get rid of experienced employees because they have to pay them more, and bring in rookies. There is no job security, especially in games.

True hence the garbage they’re feeding us now. Makes me sad tho to be honest.

Please, Blizzard continue firing employees. There’s tons of resourceful companies looking for talents right now.

The CEO takes a week off

vs.

The front line employees take a week off.

You tell me which one will hurt the company more. I’ll wait.

While I appreciate the sentiment, I’d like to point out that the people monitoring these boards are the ones up on the chopping block. You’re preaching to the choir here. I doubt that any of the executives who are in charge of hiring and firing have ever paid a visit to these forums. They hire (and fire) people who do that for them.

Neither should hurt the company if people have the appropriate skills and are doing their jobs.

Lets be real, most companies would continue to flourish if the CEO and board just took like 5 years off. They would never skip a beat

Take away the folks who answer the phones and make the products, and the company falls apart in days.

No, the companies would completely stagnate without people in the position to change/innovate/create/whatever you want to call it.

I mean, don’t get me wrong… I get what you are saying, but… you’re not being entirely honest with yourself.

…Yes, I am. Companies are built on the backs of their workers. Remember the phrase “you didnt build that.”

It’s correct.

They were not the ones addressing the problem though.
