Blizzard Shop differing prices

Wondering why prices in the Blizzard Shop differ between people / emails?

Specifically, I am referring to the Anniversary pack. 4 different people on 4 different accounts/emails have different prices for it, despite all of us having all the mounts/pets except for the Viridian Phase-Hunter mount.

It wanted to charge me 50% off or $79.99 for the pack. (I ended up being gifted the phase-hunter mount for $15). My partner wanted to be charged 95% off or $7.99 for the same item. A couple friends wanted to be charged 66% off or $53 and 75% off or $40 respectively.

These prices were through the In-Game Shop AND the Battle.net app AND the website. It didn’t matter where purchased, the prices don’t change. These were the prices advertised in each of these places to each of us. And no discount for already owned items. Again, all 4 of us had every mount and pet EXCEPT for the Viridian Phase-Hunter.

It seems a little unscrupulous and unfair to charge different prices for the same item to different people.

You get a discount for every item in the pack you already have. So if those 4 people each have something different. It’s going to show a different price.

Also the below is true as well… some states tax online purchases.

The difference is where the purchaser is located, taxes, conversion rates, etc. Not to mention if someone already has something, the price for that is removed from the purchase amount.

Prices can also alter depending on if you have already purchased some of the items in the package.

Replying to re-iterate the information provided which might have been misunderstood or not read completely:

Like I mentioned already, each and every one of us (all 4) have every mount and pet in the Anniversary pack EXCEPT the Viridian Phase-Hunter ground mount. And yet, it wasn’t wanting to give a discount to any of us for owning any of them. (not that at $8, my partner needed one).

All 4 of us live in the same city within 1 mile. My partner does share the same residence as me too.

Again, all 4 of us already owned the Illidari Felstalker, Gilded Ravasaur, Seabraid Stallion, Alabaster Stormtalon, Alabaster Thunderwing, and Dread Raven. As well as the Dread Raven, Lucky Quilen Cub, Tottle, and Nibbles.

The only item was the Viridian Phase-Hunter ground mount that none of us owned.

We all had bought the equivalent of the Heroic or Epic editions for the all expansions except for Burning Crusade.

Additionally, the price is usually reduced when you go to actually purchase based on items you may already own. It did NOT do this for any of us when we attempted to do this (but cancelled the purchase because of the price being much higher the just purchasing the Viridian Phase-Hunter by itself). My partner did go ahead and purchase since $8 cheaper then $15.

But what I’m talking about specifically is the advertised price though, even though it should know what you own when you’re logged in to the in-game shop, Battle.net app, or website.

IF it doesn’t know what items you own, then the advertised price should be the same regardless of who you are. And if it does know what items you own, then the advertised price should be the same for everybody who owns the same items in the pack.
