Participation trophies are not just about doing the challenge or limited time event while it was difficult or whatever, it’s also about doing it in a specific time frame.

Should probably tell that to the Black Market Auction House or the Twitch Rewards.

No, I just meant within context.
To a degree if the circumstances were presented well enough, my mind could probably be changed.

What I mostly generally don’t mind returning however:
Are the items that were dropped yet had to be rolled for & thus people who “did the content when it was current” could’ve missed out.

As for the rest?
Well if they’re going to bring some of the stuff back either way, I’d rather it be through content other than giveaways or corporate greed schemes. I feel that way about the NEW mounts & transmog items too.

I don’t remember seeing AOTC, gladiator, MT, KSM, etc rewards on the BMAH, Twitch or Prime though. That’s why I asked you “why.”

The majority of the mounts on the BMAH are still available in the game. The few exceptions are the Plagued Proto-drake, which I think that one and the black should have never been removed because it’s no more special than any other meta achievement mount, plus the titles are the reward for doing the time sensitive part of that achievement. Some others are the Core Hound and Deathwing mount, Brutosaur, two ZG mounts and the White Wooly Rhino.

As for the Twitch and Prime stuff… something people don’t seem to realize is Blizzard never made any promises when it came to the TCG rewards. When they release a KSM mount, they tell you “You have between this date and this date to get this achievement and mount then it’s going away.” That was never said about the TCG cards. The mounts, pets, toys, tabards and whatever else were available for years. They only became unavailable when Blizzard decided to move away from TCG and replace it with Hearthstone. Same goes for the retired shop items. They were also available for years.

So I’m not really seeing the comparison here. Maybe with the two anniversary mounts? I heard you could get the dragonhawk mount this year so I have no idea what their plans are for the anniversary mounts. The Plagued Proto-drake? Again, sure but I don’t think you get the title when you buy the mount, which again was the true time sensitive part of that achievement. The two ZG mounts? They were both available for 6 years so I’m not sure you can consider that “time sensitive.” White Whooly Rhino falls under what I said about the TCG program. I guess that just leaves the Brutosaur.

I really liked someone’s idea, I can’t remember their name, that the BMAH becomes a vendor with rotating stock.

That way it’s a gold sink for everyone and not just whales and shady websites.

Could actually help be more of a gold sink than it currently is – along with being beneficial for just about everyone.

You’re no RPer, you are allowed to dress like a muppet though. RPer have not many options available for Trolls, because just because it looks “Troll”, it could be either Darkspear or Zandalari. Two different approaches. And locking away a Wildhammer headgear based on their regular cosmetic design (the white feathers) is also a no go.

I’d like more troll-head-sets like we saw from Zul’Gurub & Zul’Aman with the reference to their Loa of animalistic helms with glowing eyes However Dazar’alor had some pretty wicked stuff for Trolls too.

A good way to do a new troll raid for new troll-themed loot & mogs (without severing connections we got, or ruining potential future alliances) would be to do a ‘Caverns of Time’ raid. Ones we could do could be:

• ‘The Troll Wars’ - Where the humans & elves went to war with the Amani.
• Where we’re visaged into trolls and are actually allied with them in the ages of where we were pushing back the Aqir, in the ‘Arir & Troll War’.

On another note, it’s not too unheard of for trolls to wear trophies from their enemies - so with transmog that’s being used, your troll could always argue it’s a trophy they wear with pride, from a powerful feat.

Trolls, Tauren and Goblins need more transmog options in general. Goblins got at least something with this trading post’s month, which is something.

I got also the new back for my female Troll Hunter and it looks good. Blizzard really shouldn’t gatekeep such transmog in the first place, especially when it lands on the BMAH later on.

That is a completely unrelated issue.
The brutosaur is a convenience issue and there is nothing else like it in the game.
Where as tmog is literally tmog. It serves zero functionality or accessibility like the brutosaur.

You’ll need a way better comparison if you want to convince people

Small gripe - it’s not. The color palette is off, the gold on the axe head almost matches the gold trim on the heritage boots, that’s about it. It “fits” if you squint.

edit: the axe on the TP fits better. It’s still off, but the gem on the center is a fit with the heritage armor gold accents.

The only item that made me spend gold was the plate helmet, the rest is kinda fugly.

Every bit of of content is not meant for everyone. Just because you pay a sub doesnt entitle you anything just the ability to engage in the content (skill, time etc is all on you) or access X item. Time exclusively is irrelevant. Anyone who didnt play before Cataclysm are locked out from 1000s of things wheres the call to be able to get all that?
Its a gold sink designed to reign in the economy and free gold. They are needed in the game. If you dont design content enticing people to use the sink than whats the point?
