Why do these items need to land on the BMAH later on starting August? Especially the dwarf weapon (which recolor seems based on the heritage armor) and the Troll shields, which has the exact same color code as the old sets you can farm from the troll dungeons. And there is also a Wildhammer headgear there, which is a subrace of the playable Dwarf subrace “Wildhammer Dwarves”.
Who in their right mind thought this would be a good idea? Apparently you developers learned nothing. There will be players in the near future, who start to play WoW and will not have an access on these items, either because they become too expensive or just unavailable to them.
Then don’t get conditioned in accepting this. You have seen what these Brutosaur-mount discussion did and it’s still a topic to this day.
FOMO is fine if it’s not an important item. But locking away Darkspear transmogs, which will likely also go hand in hand with the upcoming Darkspear Troll heritage armor?
No. This is not an option. Future players should not be punished for coming too late or being too young to play this game.
It’s not. At one point they will try to get their perfect transmog set together. We shouldn’t accept the gatekeeping when it comes to race- and class-based transmog, ever. Keep this practice for irrelevant transmog items.
This reeks of Blizz using FOMO to boost token sales.
FOMO needs to die. I agree with the OP, there is no reason whatsoever for this vendor to go away and the items go to the BMAH. At the very least they should go onto the Trading Post rotation instead of the BMAH.
So everything on that list is a recolor of something on the trading post? And this is the nefarious FOMO the WoW forums like to complain about so much?
Yes, in colors, which the player acquires through other sets. It’s like splitting up half of a transmog set and make one part FOMO on purpose.
I’m an actual roleplayer and know exactly how much race-based transmog is available to RP a race. Most of the Darkspear Trolls transmog (the Troll race, you actually play) comes from a few dungeons and everything starting from MoP is Zandalari Troll-based. These aren’t human sets we’re talking about, which you can farm in various expansions but actual rare items or updates to races, which aren’t played this often. Like the Tauren and Goblins, their transmog stuff is very limited and can be counted on one hand.
So… are you role playing a karen currently? Because that’s what it’s coming off as.
Insanely click-bait title over 3 “racial” recolored items.
And none are for either of these races. It’s literally a ‘troll’ back piece and a copy/paste shield of the same exact texture.
Then an ugly as sin ‘dwarf’ helm. Which is basically a centaur headdress with feathers.
I would understand a little if they are actual high def, crazy racial items… but come on… These aren’t even note worthy as someone who plays a troll.
That’s the thing though: You don’t understand it at all, which is why your only real contribution to the topic is to push it back atop, which I’m grateful for.
Of course it’s ok . We are players not counselors or advisors to what each of our opinions that should be translated to design edicts or guidelines to the devs.
Look I rail on here at things I feel are stupid that are in the game. Why because it’s venting and IRL I’m a human. However I don’t actually think blizz will go “yes sir right away sir “.
Vent against things you don’t like that’s partly what the forums are for, but don’t hurt yourself getting so mad because “how dare they not listen to me …I SAID DONT DO THIS” …that’s just wasted energy.
