Thus, they aren’t going away. So thanks for proving my point.
A fix to the BMAH system is not a psychological phenomenon.

A fix to the BMAH system is not a psychological phenomenon.
Not exactly. Given how many items are in the roulette, it’s still questionable if they are going to appear sooner or later. We have seen this with the US-distribution of the Brutosaur mount. You believe it’s going to be widely available to everyone but you also forget that it’s going to be a competition and bidding game.
Not a good solution.
I just don’t see the point of removing a gold sink from the vendor. It’s stupid so I agree, it’s not a good solution.
It’s the exact solution people asked for. Buy it from a vendor or bid on it later. It isn’t a psychological phenomenon. It’s the fix people wanted. Learn to see the positive instead of trolling with this FOMO bs.
Which player group asked for this specific outcome? If I look around reddit, nobody asked for this. Have you specific topics on the US forum in mind you can share?
Yes it is.
I have no respect nor time for people like you who use psychological phenomenon as the basis for you being mad at a vendor. So no, I won’t go find the threads for you. But I’ve even posted in a couple of them.
Deal with it. Buy stuff or move on.
In other words, you have nothing but your personal opinion on this. No topics, no sources, but only you. That’s fine, but this is rarely a “movement” one can take seriously. I can always bring up discussions about FOMO from reddit posters, which has a) not only more people present there and b) also shows what the mass thinks.
What exactly are you missing out on? An appearance that no one will care about if you have? A group of pixels that you will use for a month before switching it for something else? There are better looks earned in game.
Usually when you see people complaining using the hot topic buzzwords, it’s because they don’t have anything else going for them and want to feel appreciated, and they know it’s an easy way to garner support.
You’ll notice all of the people complaining about FOMO right now are actually actively playing they game, they won’t miss out on this stuff if they don’t want to, but they like the dopamine they get from people hearting their posts. It makes them feel valuable.
Gold sinks will always be irrelevant if you can outright buy gold from the company, and it’s a practice used to make them more money not to help the in game economy.
From your perspective or Blizzard’s?
Blizzard’s ultimate goal with the game is to keep people subscribed as long as possible and sell them “addons.” This fits that perspective completely. I am not saying it doesn’t suck for players who have to have it all but that is the game.
Literally said I’ve posted in those threads. I just won’t waste my time searching them out for someone like you. You’re capable of doing it yourself. And I can’t search out feedback sent to Blizz or the threads deleted from CS on this very topic.
I’ll take 30 seconds to tell you how your opinion is wrong. I won’t waste 20 minutes searching this forum and stuff I can’t link for you.
Literally no one said it was a movement. It’s just come up as an idea to solve the BMAH and Blizz did just that: tested out a way to solve the BMAH.
Stop whining on the forums and go make gold for eight months.
Thanks for the tl;dr of your entire thread and point.
I will not miss out. I posted a jpeg file here before with all the characters I have. I’ll be fine and I actually need the shield back for my Troll hunter, because it’s in one of the troll dungeon colors everyone can farm.
I won’t “switch it out”, this is kind of a fallacy argument in my case due the linked picture. The problem will arrive later on, when these items are gone and people need to fight each other for them. These designs are based on the the race culture designs you see on artworks and on NPCs, it should be stay available all time, without going through the loops to have a bidding war later on.
Good point, actually. For me, it only shows that the current developers do not understand their own lore and racial designs, despite being the ones who design these worlds.
Do as you please, but you have no opinion worth then further discussing.
Congratulations. Neither do you.
Its funny how they try to shut you down when you make counter points.
I don’t think it’s funny how people tried to shut the OP down by flagging them. There’s nothing in their OP that’s flag worthy.
And I’m saying this as someone that’s constantly butting heads with Blast. It’s fine to argue but it’s not fine to abuse the report function. I wish Blizzard would start punishing people for that.
I really, REALLY dislike FOMO, but… at the same time… these are only recolors? The originals are still available via the Trading Post’s rotating stock, and it’ll be the same for these. They’ll just be on the BM’s rotating stock instead.
They do. I know this because people on the EU-forum complained a lot that their flagging was also punished with a forum suspension.
There are no “originals”. Both these colors can be acquired through different means. The red variant is a standard armor colorization you can get from the Troll dungeons and from vendors selling these transmog gears.
