Blizzard Says Trans Rights

I already did.

This is why I love these threads, the people who claim to never get triggered go berserk about the existence of gay and trans ppl. It’s funny.

I thought chrome was the first

You get that the character died and has chosen to ‘reincarnate’ in the Shadowlands as a male instead of a female? Hence why the OP said ‘chose’.

Americans are brainwashed, indeed

I think the part that rubs people wrong is the expectation some have that others need to participate in their fantasy. Be trans, idgaf, but don’t be mad if they don’t play along, know what I mean?

That’s not confirmed yet, though it’d be neat if they did since she’s such a prominent character and will continue to be so in SL.

when i recognize they exist, they get awfully mad when i point out that pimozide makes their urges go away.

i guess helpful recognition isn’t the kind they want?

The issue is that the characters existence rubs them wrong in the first place. Trans people exist and that shouldn’t be a problem. It’s not political until someone tells them that they’re a deviant and shouldn’t exist.

And why should the .01% define anything? Let alone something as fundamental to existence as sex/gender.

Pretty sure the thread title is what attracted that attention, not the existence of this character.

That was such a weird thing to read. Why wouldn’t you care about other peoples existence? Are people proud of lacking empathy?

I see that you failed to read properly. Maybe try again?

I don’t really care to engage you in conversation though, to be honest.

Of course! Bye Felicia

Can we hijack this thread to talk about how awesome Wez is as a character?

I think that they are being more disrespectful by including a character who is explicitly ‘emotionally fragile’ and naming one of the night elf husbands ‘kadarin’ than if they hadn’t included these characters at all.

Whoever is in charge of putting upper managements desires into the game needs to take a step back and quit it. If you’re going to include it, include it properly.

Of course they are. Caring about others is seen as a weakness to a significant portion of people.
