It’s scientific.
There is a neurological disorder called Dysphoria, of which the common symptom is Transgenderism. There is no cure for this disorder. Left untreated, it will cause severe depression/anxiety, usually ending in suicide or self mutilation.
The only effective treatment for dysphoria is, you guessed it, transitioning.

Don’t forget that not all trans individuals actually suffer from Gender Dysphoria. However, in order for insurance to cover treatment in the United States, they have to be diagnosed with it. Gotta love that capitalistic healthcare system.

There are people out there who suffer from gender dysphoria an actual psychological issue. Then there a gender trenders who just want attention.
You cannot change your DNA make-up thus you will always have the genetic makeup of either a male or female and in rare cases inter-sex. You cannot change this.
But you change how you present to the world and to some people this is enough to help them. Have a little compassion for those who suffer from the actual condition and arn’t just doing it for attention.
