Those guilds have already trained extensively on Private servers. The PTR isn’t the reason. The reason is the content is 15 years old and everyone knows the strategies.
lol not what so ever
Before I say what I’m going to say… you don’t have to be good at the game for you to have fun. With that being said… if people are failing on ancient content… they’re bad players, granted there will be players that have never done these raids before and they’re the exception. But honestly, there is no real excuse for everyone else. I hope it does scratch that nostalgic nerve for everyone tho.
Exactly. WoW Retail lost it, but the spirit of WoW in the Golden Age was “… and the friends you made along the way”.
I’d love to see you post on your main character. I genuinely wonder whether you actually have any raid progress. I mean, why would you hop on the PTR if you’re still struggling with Karazhan groups, right?
You obviously haven’t done PTR yet. That is not the reason. You will see 3-4 times the guilds clear week 1 then should have bc of how long T5 has been on PTR.
The PTR has scratched that nostalgic feel which has been awesome. I just wish it was on live servers progressing and not 8+ weeks on PTR.
Nonsense.
I was expecting first day clears of both raids even before they went on the PTR. Because they are KNOWN CONTENT and there are plenty of ways to train.
This is not a new product. This is not glorious discovery. This is not “experiment to find the right strategy”. This is 15 year old content that everyone’s done before.
No it didn’t… you just don’t see it that way. I’ve actually made more friends in the last 5-years in Wow, then anytime prior. I’ve also been playing with the same people for like 12-13 years.
Less than 40~ groups in the world have cleared it on the PTR. I really don’t think it’s as big a factor as you think
So why the hell did you go on the PTR?
“I ruined my enjoyment, Blizzard should have done something to stop me!”
Yes obviously there will be some guilds who clear day 1 and week 1, without a doubt. But now instead of a just a few guilds, it will be hundreds. That’s bc PTR has been up for 8+ weeks and people have done all their progression on PTR. Getting to KT takes a few hours alone. It’s a long fight that takes 14+ mins to complete. If you wipe it’s a long run back to get setup again. You might only get 5-6 attempts in 2 hours before trash respawns and then your raid time is over. I really think you underestimate how much the PTR is letting guilds progress and practice. It’s ruining the fun and excitement that could have surrounded phase 2
The PTR is not early access. It’s not secret boss level. It’s an environment for the team to find any bugs and correct them.
If you ruined your own experience by going there and getting bored of the content, that is not their fault. They need the testing to make sure that the vast majority of players, who do not go on the PTR, experience the most polished version they can provide.
If you can’t handle that concept, stop using the PTR as early access.
The “World First Race” is meaningless in Classic.
you mean 5 phases and 20 months? even the original TBC wasn’t 24 months long, it was 21 months.
No, the final phase is always (well usually if it’s going right) double the length of the others, in patch cycles. Because it’s all content, it gives people more time to finish everything off and catch up, before the next expansion.
P1: 4 months
P2: 4 months
P3: 4 months
P4: 4 months
P5: 8 months
They may adjust a bit around that, but if you rush all the content out, it just makes the final phase longer.
Bugs. In fifteen year old content. That was hashed out. Fifteen years ago.
Amazing.
Yes, many people will choose to not play with their guild members because of this, I’m sure. If your raid group is set to go do it, you kind of just go along with it, right.
What if Blizzard just… released all the content at once. It would be our faults for going through it too fast, right? So they uh, do these things called phases.
Well Phase2 has been out for about a month now. Except it hasn’t. Except it kind of has. Blizzard is a mess, stop making excuses for them.
No ones rushing content mate. We can’t. We don’t even have access to the content that players in TBC had access to one day one.
Rushing content doesn’t make the last phase feel longer. It being twice as long makes it feel longer.
The insane rationalizations you make for this absolute negligence on Blizzards part is sickening.
You know they’re rewriting half the stuff on new systems because they replaced a lot of the basis for it in Cataclysm right? So yeah, they have to test that what they updated works.
Don’t come whining to the forums if you joined a sweaty guild and then did sweaty things, but you’re not really a sweaty.
“We’re” not, but this post is literally asking Blizzard (who can) to do it.
you cant be serious. in a re-released game, in an era when content gets cleared a LOT faster, and there’s a ton other games people could play … you want to stretch the game out an EXTRA 3 MONTHS!?!?! Are you out of your mind? Do you want people to quit?
