seems that way… it kinda reminds me of the tree the first day we got it the easy solution for this kind of things is just to create some special npc and people get it rather than dealing with this issues that always someone will have…
But whatever I have my bananas back and I hope blizzard considers to bring back their TCG with new codes…
I honestly wonder how many of those complaining about this actually donated even a single dollar to the charity? If you didn’t, then you are really out nothing in this situation to begin with.

Very sorry that charity work is getting in the way of your video game time.
I hope you pull through this one, hang in there!
People are buying this more because they want the pet rather than they want to donate to the charity. Nothing wrong with admitting that. For Blizzard, it is about PR and marketing.
Doctors Without Borders is a worthy charity. If you donate directly to the organization, you can deduct the contribution on your tax return. With this promo, ActiBlizz claims $x dollars as a charitable contribution tax deduction on their corporate tax return while Blizzard earns some responsible corporate social activism points from its customers.
That’s not my point. Bananas is FREE TO EVERYONE, regardless if they donated, once the goal was reached. So anyone crying over a free pet when they didn’t donate to the charity is a little much.
But why reuse bananas when they could just recolor its fur, or give it green eyes, or put a hat on it, or a cape and call it “super bananas” and just make it another pet.
No reason to reuse exactly something already in game, when even a tiny change would limit the devaluing of it for those who earned it already.

If someone is paying money, it isn’t free.
Well no duh… But I have been clear that I have been talking about people who didn’t contribute. Maybe next time read before you reply?
donating money isn’t the same as paying money.
The same exact model as Bananas has been available in game since Cata. Ironically it’s probably even more rare than the TCG version since it can only be caught when it’s raining on island that has its own unique weather
No one is losing anything unique by this charity pet being released

That’s funny. The bank obviously didn’t get the message. Because it deducts money from your checking account whether you make a charitable donation or buy something from Amazon.

i’m not understanding your point.
a donation is a gift… a contribution… not the same as exchanging money for goods.

Okay so you probably didn’t donate. Now you have the chance to donate and get the Daisy pet. Something like this really shouldn’t affect your emotional state, when it’s for a greater cause. Imagine being someone in a third world country receiving life saving medical help, while you sit here complaining that you didn’t get free pixels.

No diff from buying a mount then its included in a anniversary set…
In reality it would be nice if they just created unique items even for altruistic promos… a recolor at least
Eh its a game… nothing is real
The way I see it: The REAL goal is $1million, and the REAL reward is Daisy. That’s the pet that’s truly unique. As others have commented, Bananas is exactly the same as the Baby Ape pet, and Blizz is offering him to us for free for reaching the half-way point, a way of keeping momentum going to get to the full goal.
Gratz to Blizz, and let’s all carry on to get our (free) adorable sloth!
To those who feel somehow cheated by the Bananas giveaway, idk what to say, so I guess I’ll just head on my way smh.

It’s either a debit or a credit.
it would absolutely blow your mind if you knew there were people who donated simply out of the kindness of their heart.
…because that’s a thing people do.
they donate money, or clothes, or food, or their own time… with zero expectation of getting anything in return for it… other than a warm fuzzy feeling in their heart.

Do corporations really get that “warm fuzzy feeling in their heart”?
