I’m sure more than just streamers died due to the DDOS, and those characters will be restored as well.
While the streamers I’m sure made it a much more public event, are people really surprised that when half a guild of popular streamers lose their characters due to a massive DDOS attack that Blizzard might be inclined to change their policy?
Policy is not set in stone forever. It is formed from history.

Surprised they actually did it but good on them. If that also includes overworld, dungeons, etc. non-streamers as well during those times I think it’s a merited roll-back to revive Hardcore characters.
God I hope not… for the Good of WoW Players everywhere, OnlyFangs needs to STAY DEAD… we do not want them back.
Every single time OnlyFangs raids, me, and a ton of other players across the realms ON RETAIL SERVERS all suffer endless DDoS too that was targetting OnlyFangs.
Just check over the weekend when OnlyFangs was targetted the forums were full of people FROM RETAIL SERVERS who all suffered just because OnlyFangs raided. Countless others suffer, because OnlyFangs wants to stream and Blizzard can’t stop it… so we all suffer because of OnlyFangs.
I for one hope they do not reform and STAY DEAD… if they reform, and start streaming their raids again, WE WILL ALL SUFFER. Nope, if you really care about this game members of OnlyFangs, either never raid again, or raid OFF-CAMERA UNANNOUNCED. Your vanity to stream makes ALL OF US suffer.

I would never tell anyone not to play but it is kind of frustrating that a few dozen people I don’t care about are ruining a game for thousands of people.
I mean yeah of course it’s the DDOSER’s fault and they’re victims but they’re clearly a target, and their raids are causing negative experiences. I feel for them but I also don’t care. I’m empathetic and apathetic at the same time.
NOPE… we’re telling it LIKE IT IS… if you want to pretend that is not reality, you go right ahead living in fantasy land.
WHEN THEY RAID AND THEY STREAM… WE ALL SUFFER.
If they want to raid, fine, do it like everyone else, keep it to themselves… they can always show a video of it AFTER they raid…
If the MUST STREAM LIVE AND ANNOUNCED and every time they do that, we all suffer… they aren’t victims, they are basically saying “here, we are, DDOS US AND EVERYONE ELSE”… they know it happens, they keep doing it, we are the victims, not them.
Keep your head under a rock, they announce, they stream, we all get DDoS’d. That’s REALITY. I’m not aware of too many things, but I know what I know if you know what I mean.
I don’t think there was a fix to this situation. Blizz is at least trying something, I guess?

It will be 0 as all the tickets come in from the 20’s in westfall. when I tried HC, clearing westfall was an accomplishment by itself really.
They will be told to just reroll most likely. its “just” 20 levels, right. In that 20 levels they maybe took 3 hours to fix up crafting so that is gone too.
that is where I lost the HC urge to play. I didn’t mind the game levels. I minded the crafting time lost lol.
