Good on Blizzard to respond. It’s basically ‘see you in court, clowns’.
California is a funny way to spell the person who gave birth to you.
lol wut? California is in a surplus
still garbage.
The stock market is a fantastic thing. . .and equally horrible sometimes LOL.
Edit: Presumably Celindas is pointing out the overall California debt which is indeed high and scary looking at first glance, but every state has debt (yay, credit) and furthermore the debt per capita puts Cali pretty low on the list, considering a whoooole lot of people live in Cali.
A part of me would like to see the donor states (the states that get back less than they pay in taxes in benefits) withhold taxes from the federal government and just pay things that the feds would otherwise give to their citizens for a few years.
The biggest donor states are, btw:
New York
New Jersey
Massachusetts
California
Connecticut
Minnesota
Colorado
Utah
The welfare states (who get back more than they pay in taxes) would be in dire straits without the above supporting them.
The biggest welfare states are:
Virginia
Kentucky
Florida
Maryland
Ohio
Pennsylvania
North Carolina
Alabama
Arizona
South Carolina
It has a surplus, but also a lot of debt, it still wouldn’t be out of debt if it paid off with it’s surplus.
However it’s still got really low debt per capita.
“Blizzard, you stand accused of housing a frat boy culture in your workspace and have allowed sexual harrassment to run rampant through your halls. How do you respond?”
“wE rEaLLy LiKe DivERsiTy!”
The only way to stay at the top and wealthy is to keep everyone else poor and uneducated. Some states really take that to heart.
Ty for sharing your thoughts. I also deleted my question. Be well.
Blizzard’s public statement.
Police, Blizzard we hear you robbed a bank.
Blizzard, Yes officer web robbed a bank. But we promise not to do it again.
Police, Thank you for cooperating with us. You’re under arrest for bank robbery.
Blizzard, But why? We cooperated with you and said we did it! Isn’t that enough?
They keep using that word, I do not think it means what they think it means.
I don’t know anything about law but it sounds like they’re gearing up to counter-sue tbh.
Blizzard likely moving out of california sooner or later. Seems like another state would be up for grabs for next blizzcon.
It is fairly relevant, state wide instances of corruption and abuse in the state govt. will be extremely relevant for throwing out the states case in court. Afterwards Blizz should move its HQ out of california, so california’s wretched economy can wither further.
You take me as the person who likes to park there semi truck ford ranger and grandma civic in the front yard. Yet the driveway a double.
After reading that, if what Blizzard stated is true, than no they may even end up counter suing the DFEH for dragging their names through the mud without following the correct procedures set out by law.
It’s a common thing with large organisations who both fight other large organisations or the small fry, they will say “We have attempted to / have followed the law and in the best way possible made contact and attempted to negotiate” when in fact they may have sent a couple of emails, had some random meetings that went nowhere and than decided “Hey this will be enough evidence in a court of law to say ‘we tried’” and than sue the ever living s*** out of X.
I’ve seen it in my own workplace, the company ‘attempted’ to negotiate with the unions, dragged out the process over a very lengthy period and in the end didn’t do nowhere near enough that when the union took the case to the governing bodies who mediate all this stuff, the union was looked upon in favour because the company did not play ball adequately.
There is a very high chance the DFEH are doing the same just so they can say “WE DID IT PATRICK”, but it does nothing more than hurt innocent people and make the governing body entities look like slackers who don’t actually want the correct outcome, just an outcome so they can look like the hero in this rotten world we live in.
So yes there are genuine claims that need to be addressed and things need to be sorted, and if the DFEH take it to court correctly or not than those poor souls who have had things happen to them will look up to the DFEH and say how wonderful they are in what they are doing. The guys at the DFEH will feel like hero’s to the community. But it doesn’t solve the problem, you need to ensure said company is putting measures in place to ensure it won’t happen again, simply hitting the I will sue you now button like what happens so many times in America only makes it worse.
A women killed herself because of harassment at Blizzard and you call 2 years of an investigation “lame”.
You incels are insane.
No you don’t. Stop lying. You are actively working to destroy everything there including the beach that you love lol. Of course you will never succeed in Cali, that’s at least good to know you will always fail.
They are an anonymous person on the internet who has no particular credibility. If they should be prosecuted, then so should you for pretending you have an IQ when clearly you don’t.
Blizzard, the time is now! Isn’t the director of WoW a lawyer? put him to solve this in the legal department! and remove him from game’s direction please!
