was basically just them… then they got roided-up on demon-blood with all the clans united and… well, then some of the other clans started doing… that, too.
No other player race has performed these acts at all outside of one single human man.

Blood Elves were pissed at the humans because they wanted the humans to put every Orc on the planet to death after the Warcraft 2 war was over instead of camps.
Now Belves are allied with the horde.
I think of this every time I see a horde elf go on about lore not being made to tailor for their side.

I am going to take a guess that you are talking about this line. "The Rangari managed to save a number of draenei prisoners, But not all. The few poor souls were forced into slavery for the rest of their lives. Some of them bore children for their masters.
This is talking about one small clan and hardly points to a culture of misogyny amongst the orcs. The book even says before this few lines of text that most orc clans ignored the draenei.

we’re talking about a fantasy game where there’s tribalistic cowmen, cyborg gnomes, pandas who do kung-fu, and space-alien-demons.

besides, you seem to be throwing the word ‘misogynist’ around like it’s nothing. i agree, what some of the orcs did to the draenei was horrid.
but if you think it like it’s the only horrid thing that happens in this game, your kinda missing the point of what i’m trying to say, which is that there’s a LOT of horrid crap that happens in WoW. this is just one of a handful.

Blood Elves are pissed at the Alliance because the ranking Alliance commander of the 3rd war sent their Prince and his forces on suicide missions, then imprisoned them and sentenced them to death when they didn’t roll over and die like he wanted. Because he was racist.

You can get your account suspended by using the actual word for evil acts of misogyny. Blizzard has set a stance on the topic. It is far more dire than you’re willing to admit. Only one player race has done this, excluding one single human man. That player race has this act hanging over its head any time someone tries to say “You know orcs can be heroes too, right?”
And again Chronicles is full of inconsistencies and retcons. Ask the average player when the drinking of Mannoroths blood happened. I bet 95% of them will tell you just before the dark portal was first open and you can find lore to back that up. I think it was like 3 months. According to Chronicles, it was a full 3 years.

Chronicles I and II were written as definitive lore. It’s only after Danuser took the reins that things can be wrong. Thus far, they’ve made no attempts to suggest that orcs didn’t actually perform evil acts of misogyny.
except it’s not our characters who did that act. we are’nt the ones who commited such acts, we’re just some other schmucks that happen to be the same race as them.
so orcs CAN be heroes. your just looking at it from an angle of ‘these guys did it, so they’re all guilty by association’.
