Blizzard Please Stop Balancing Around Noobs

You’ve practically destroyed every IP you own. Your older games, and companies who actually have a meaningful impact on the gaming industry do not focus on metrics like player retention, active subs, raid kills and whatever other crap people talk about. They focus on one thing and one thing alone. Making a good game! and a game by its very definition should be challenging and competitive whether its verse yourself or other people. You make a good game and all those metrics you want will follow.

When you break the fourth wall and give everybody everything they want, you cheapen the experience for not only the people who worked to earn things, but for the very people who asked for nerfed content. They know that things came too easy and they move on to other things or there’s just simply nothing further for them to gain.

To be clear i’m not advocating for things to be so challenging that the average player can’t do it. I’m advocating for things to be reasonably challenging as gnomer was, and ST was prenerf. Atal’arion was being 1 shotted by almost every guild, the goo guy was the only boss pre eranikus that was challenging at all. The bosses really did melt down quite quickly. If the content is so easy that every single guild can one shot most of the content you’re not in the right spot.

No stop balancing around people who want this to be dark souls

I don’t want that though. I just don’t want keyboard turners with 18 children in their lap, rolling a joint, parsing a 4 to get end game gear.

Standard gatekeeping Andy, wants the game to be Dark Souls instead of the Season of Dads that it is.

Your ability to clear a more difficult version of the content doesn’t matter, your parse does not matter, your gear does not matter, your achievements do not matter, this is a temporary version of the game. No one will remember your name.

Stop “balancing” around people who want everything to take 5 hours.

You can’t even run back to your corpse, that crap takes like 15 minutes. Season of Walking Simulator.

People are still log checking when assembling their raids, which means ST is still too hard

Go do mythics on Retail if you want a challenging raid experience.

Well Retail was trained so long with arrows pointing to which way to go during bosses… where to stand… etc.

SO ofcourse they come to SoD begging for nerfing ST.

People would log check you even if the raid took 10 minutes and every boss died in 3 seconds. That’s the culture of gaming we play in today. Lol.

Stop balancing stuff around reasons and deliver the Season of Mystery you promised us back on April 1st. >:(

What does matter though is the reputation of the company and whether they made a game that was good or bad.

If they made some lowest common denominator trash fest that will go down in history as a fail(like many games are these days), it may very well be the last we ever hear of blizzard. And the best way to avoid that is start ignoring lowest common denominator trash players.

Lol, a grown up adult pretending videogame achievments matter is worrysome, check out medical help.

Its simple. If i’m blizzard. I look at the success of games like counter strike, dota, starcraft and I notice that they are incredibly popular and simultaneously incredibly hard. Then I try to reconcile that with “DAD GAMERS SHOULD BE GETTING PURPLES” and I can’t, unless i’m an idiot.

I think there is your answer.

Edit to add:

StarCraft isn’t hard.
Dota and Counterstrike are pvp games with matchmaking.

They don’t compare.

No, this needs to be balanced around the average player. If you lock average players out of the raids, they’re just gonna quit playing.

Newsflash: Average Players make up the majority of the game’s population, so if they can’t raid… the games gonna die real fast.

This is what happened with Cata, and this is what’s going to happen if you keep demanding this stupid stuff.

Joe average gamer doesn’t have his whole life to devote to the game, he just has a few hours after getting home from work to do raids or battlegrounds.

Stop balancing the game around people who make it their job. Please.

Counter-Strike is a poop game where they had to nerf being able to shoot through walls over and over and over because people were too good at the game, they basically had X-ray vision after a while. They had to keep adding stuff to counter camping too, like molotovs and decoys.

DOTA sucks, never liked it and I no lifed Customs before WoW came out. Footmen Frenzy was more fun and quicker, ENFOs was more fun and more innovative and Hero Line Wars was way harder than DOTA. DOTA was for people who were obsessed with ganking, aka ambushing you through fog of war, most people in DOTA just roll over when they sense they are about to lose.

Starcraft was rock, paper, scissors with the added challenge of a time trial. If you didn’t press keys fast enough, you lost, didn’t even matter if you were about to counter your opponent, lets say with pure luck. There is no luck in Starcraft lol, other than you picked the right units before you scouted or got scouted.

This is like saying Fortnite should be very desirable by everyone and we should follow that blueprint because it’s successful.

But why don’t you want that?

LOL. No. it means players are bad and we dont want our times wasted. would u higher some1 that does 2 hours of work compare to someone that does 8 hours of work?

Oh no logs!!! Oh no, wasting peoples time!!! Too bad you’re going to die 5 times trying to zone into MC, wasting your time even more! I hope you don’t play on a PVP server.

theres 1 ency wency tiny little detail u left out. u get bad players into a raid that cant clear and ur saved to that lockout and wont get any loot for the week or how ever many times this happens. i do play on a pvp server and accept situations like the one u just presented b/c its part of the pvp experience. its awesome to fight for control of a position in the world
