Blizzard… please do not progress to Classic Cataclysm. I (and many others) do not want to relive Cataclysm. I did not enjoy it the first time, and i definitely will not enjoy it a 2nd time. The world revamp is horrible. It literally took any sense of danger out questing. Right now I can “mess up” and attempt quests that are too hard for me. In cata this is gutted and you can only do quests that the game deems you can handle.
The raids and dungeons were a snooze fest.
Blizzard, hear me out. Do not keep the classic train going. Simply just do a classic WOTLK+. Hire a dev team and start releasing new content for wotlk. New zones, quests, dungeons, raids, gear, etc. Leave the overall recipe alone. Do not change class or game design. This is what needs to happen. Literally, if you keep going you will see the game derail…again…learn from your mistakes.
Also, for those saying it just needs to restart. Eh, no thanks… i didn’t invest all this time into something to “just restart”. Also, I no longer have 10+ years of nostalgia built up to replay everything again. The only way i would get on this train is if Blizzard made significant QoL changes to the restart. I’m sorry, but class design got so much better in both TBC and WoTLK. Then started going down hill when they started the whole, “Bring the player, not the class” philosophy.
Once classic WOTLK is done, it will be on life support. Just like Classic WoW.
Blizzard is a business. Letting a game that right now is probably bringing in millions for them again, would be a silly business move. Knowing Blizzard, they want to keep this cash grab going. But it’s time for them to actually invest some money and effort to keep it going.
You really think these guys at blizzard are gonna make classic plus lmao they can barely make new expansions as is. Cata wasn’t even bad and had some of the most challenging raids in wow history like heroic rag/spine of death wing ect. Let the people decide what they want tired of these gamer dads talking for me like they know what everyone wants, just like the anti rdf group. Speak for yourself
I didn’t want Cata, but I’m warming up to the idea. Blizz has effectively destroyed my desire to play Wrath, so call me in two years when Cata comes out and I might come back…if it includes RDF.
Don’t be a retail Andy and try to deny an era someone might truly love just because you don’t. If you don’t like Cata you don’t have to play it. Just like some guy playing Shadowlands might not play WotLK. But don’t be the “you think you do but you don’t” guy to others. Its not a good look.
Why do people like you make these posts? If Blizz puts out Cata, you simply don’t need to play it. Blizzard doesn’t custom create expansions for people. They are literally rereleasing old expansions because it costs LESS RESOURCES to generate a revenue stream than creating new content. they are a public company with a fiduciary responsibility to their SHAREHOLDERS. The best thing you can do to get your opinion across is unsub and stop paying them. If WOTLK classic were to fail, there won’t be Cata. The most embarrassing thing Blizz can do now is turn their most successful expansion of all time into a failure. It will solidfy their laughing stock status. If WOTLK classic and the new retail expac are both good, then expect Cata…just don’t play it.
Not sure where these people get this idea where if they don’t want something in the game or a certain expansion that everyone doesn’t want it. They always put “me and others” or “majority of people” when they are making their biased point
Sure if you want to go that route, this time around I can assure you people would have a different opinion when they have retail to play which is garbage or cata
Yeah for the people that are dismissing MoP is crazy to me. I was extremely active during that time. Full arena gear on Rogue/SPriest/Frost mage/ Ret… Every class I played I got addicted. Wrath was my favorite expansion but mannnn MoP is a very solid 2nd
