Dracthyr will be able to play other classes in War Within and you can stay in visage in those classes just not evoker.

Just write better/different lore, then. Holy cow I’m sick of this kind of response. It is all fiction.
Majority of people do not care about the lore or the reasons to be stuck as Drakthyr - They just don’t want to be forced to be a dragon to play as an Evoker.
Does not solve anything for those who want to play Evoker but hate being a dragon

It’s a dragon class that uses dragon attacks, so no you can’t be out of dragon form to do so.
Even the aspects have to be in dragon form to use dragon attacks.
Being other classes is as good as it’s going to get, and people are going to have to take no for an answer for evoker.
Not a good enough reason. Just give visage form the capability / animations to do the “dragon” attacks.

There is 0 lore and and 0 evidence in game that this can be a thing.
Just going have to deal with it.

I think you need to look up and learn your dracthyr lore to find the answers you seek.
TWW is almost here, I can’t wait to see what’s in store.
I just want to play Evoker on something other than a dumb dragon. It’s an engaging and unique class that I really enjoy, but I hate being a Dracthyr so I very rarely play my Evoker. And I really don’t think I’m the only one

Part of playing World of Warcraft includes getting to terms with never getting some things you consider important or fun.
Regardless, you should look up the “Gleeful Glamour” (https://www.wowhead.com/beta/item=224364/gleeful-glamour-pandaren) items coming in TWW, they should be exactly what you want. There’s one for every single race out there.
You aren’t, most of us just are happy enough that we got the other classes. It’s sad news for evoker, sure, but seems like devs are happy with this decision and they’re the gods of this game. I wish we had evoker on the list, but I abandoned that hope the moment they announced the other classes.
Experiences may vary, but I know a lot of people who just dropped evoker due to the ugly race so there are left only those who like to be a lizard and those who still hope. A small population.

I don’t mind the dragon, but I definitely don’t like my visage form. Really hoping they open up options for that soon.

the majority of the hate from people myself included is that the transmog is awful in our lizard form and messes with our visage forms transmog. im willing to bet that if we could have more transmog options like at the very least evoker tier being transmog when were a lizard the amount of people who want this glyph would drastically reduce.
It’s a little strange that people want to play a draconic class that uses dragon spells, flies like a dragon, breathes fire like a dragon and doesn’t want to be a dragon. It’s like I want to be a demon hunter without being a demon
One of the things that make the Evoker so immersive is the class fantasy and execution, and this is only possible because it is an exclusive class of the Evoker.

its cause visually both the lizard and dragon look awful while also having the worst transmog restrictions on the weakest armor type for transmogs. i dont feel or look like a dragon. i feel like im playing a Lankey lizard that got wings glued on. i use the race change toys all the time when i play my evoker. doesnt break the game/immersion at all. been running keys all season with a friend who went from only playing guardian to playing a evoker and she uses ALL of the toys to change how she looks. either a murloc the recombobulater or different pets. the transmog and range have stoped me from maining this class, but i enjoy it so much its my main alt. after my main i spend the most time on my evoker because i like playing all 3 specs. its fun but i hate how i look and that as a ranged class im standing in mele 90% of the time
